10/20/01 UT @ UA. We lost 35-24.

It's funny reading back through the posts. Some people remember the score, who they went with, what they wore and what they ate. I made a spreadsheet last year to help me keep things straight. It's funny how many games you can attend without remembering them.

Sugar Bowl v. notre dame (73?) Bittersweet.

On the one hand, I was in the stadium for a Bama game, which was way cool. Plus, I got to meet Coach Bryant & shake his hand after (forget the connection, but I believe Jimmy Sharpe was a relative of someone in our party)

On the other hand, we lost. To the irish.

Plus, this was the only game I ever attended with my Dad, as he died the next year from a hrt attack when he was 4 years younger than I am now...*sigh*

p.s. - between this game & the '66 poll results, I hate the irish! ;)

It was a game at Legion Field in the 80's. I was young and don't remember who it was. On a side note I have never seen an Alabama game at Bryant-Denny. All the games I have seen were either at Legion Field or an opponent’s field or bowl game.
i wonder if i was the only one. i've only been in B-D twice. 1985 i saw bobby humpheries run wild on cincinnati. 2005 Bama lost in ot to Lsu and my wife's first Bama game. she still talks about the experience.

The 1969 Bama - Ole Miss game at Legion Field. I wish I could say I remember a whole lot about the game. What I do remember is the excitement. We were in the upper deck and it was rockin. Saw a whole different side to my dad. Fun memories!!

January 1, 1967 Sugar Bowl. Alabama beat Nebraska. The polls still gave the National Championship to Notre Dame even though they threw the game against Michigan State. I have disliked Notre Dame ever since.

1966 spring game. I was seven. It was a good memory in an otherwise bad year.

There was a woman behind my father and me continually yelling, "Come owwwnnnn sneeeeek." I asked my father who would want to be sneaky. He laughed and set me straight.

Of course, she was yelling for "Snake" Stabler.

October 4, 1975 at Legion Field. Bama defeated Ole Miss 32-6. That was the first of 190 games in person, and counting.

1980 Homecoming: Bama 42, Southern Miss 7. Two-time defending national champion and #1 ranked Tide stomped the Eagles to extend its winning streak to 28 games. The following week, Bama was upset by Mississippi State 6-3, and Alabama would not be ranked #1 again in the regular season until November 2008.
I was in 5th grade when Miss State beat us 6-3 and stopped our 28 game win streak...........:mad2: I cried like a baby.........DANG I love Alabama Football.....:)

It was Coach Stallings first game on September 8, 1989 my birthday and we lost to Brett Favre and Southern Miss 27-24
I was sitting outside my apartment listing to this game on my car radio when we lost. We lost the game but I lost my mind. I busted the lounge chair I was sitting in into a million pieces to the enjoyment of many of my frat brothers.......Why were they laughing at me you might ask......because I was attending FSU.....the very next week Brett Farve lit the Noles up.......my buddies were not laughing anymore.......a lot of these post are stirring up fond memories........:)

The year was actually 1990.......:)

1988 Iron Bowl at Legion Field. In 1990, my parents started getting season tickets and I attend at least one game every year until 2007.
