My name is honor of Al, Gene and Frank Lary. All who played at Alabama and are my great uncles.

At my age, memory can be elusive... but I recall that Frank pitched for detroit and was known as the "Yankee Killer" and Al still holds the UA record for TD receptions in a season. Good bloodlines. ;)

I got my name a couple of years before I joined ths board. I had this name on another name that went pay-for-view. I found this site a little later & really like it.

I was looking for a name that had some connection whth the TIDE. Since tsunami is a TID(E)AL wave, I chose it. rtr- ROLL TIDE ROLL

I got to talk to Coach Bryant in Huntsville when he was signing autographs at a Crystal Burger place in the 60's. While the discussion was short, one of his comments about football was "You've got to believe your going to win when you walk out on that field". While I have never been a football player, I am defintely a TideBeliever!

I actually live just a couple of miles north of the city limits in Cantonment. I grew up and went to high school in the north end of the county near the Alabama line. Are you from the area?

Yeah, ddsmit and I live in south west Pensacola off Mobile hwy. Pensacola's been home for me for 25 years or so and for dd for probably 50 or so. We both work(ed) at Solutia (he's retired) in Cantonment. Glad to know :D there's so many Gulf Coast Tide fans!

I live in baton rouge and attend the mathcup here in the even numbered years. Until recently i was never dissapointed, and soon will never be again. Roll Tide Roll in Baton Rouge.

I work in NYC, and lived in NY (Long Island) when I started posting here. If I were to sign up today, I would be NJBamaFan, though I still spend a few days each week in the NYC office...

Yall took most everything else, plus I figured since Bear Bryant won 323 games, it was a good number to add to Bama

groans

Grew up a Bama fan, went to Bama Law School. My Dad went to Bama as did both of my sons.
The Herb is a "trail" nickname given to me years ago by some members of my Boy Scout Troop when we were backpacking one summer on the Appalachian Trail. I still go up and backpack a couple of times each year.
