I will be in Gulf Shores for the Va Tech game...anyone have suggestions as to where to go to watch the game? I'm looking for a good Bama atmosphere as well as decently priced drinks:cool:

Thanks in advance....RTR

It's been awhile since I have been over in that direction, but my first suggestion would be the Flora Bama. FWIW.

A little north of there at Point Clear, AL along the mobile bay, the Grand Hotel has an outside bar with big screen tv's and firepits after dark. It's a cool place to watch football and the stars during the tv timeouts.

Glad I saw this thread before it dropped too far down.
I would avoid Rafters as they are the official Auburn bar down here.
While there is no "official" Alabama bar down here, all bars show Bama games.
Many of us meet at Indigo Joe's in the Pelican Place Shopping Center at the corner of Hwy 58 and County Rd 4 next to the Cobb theater.
And if you want to listen to the pre-game on the radio, it's 92.1 the Zew

Been here all week, across from the Hooters, 12 son year old wants to go. Get you a guide book and it will give all the info you need. A lot of LSU folks here, but they are mostly quite when I walk by. Fanatic Fanz in Orange beach is a great store. Very nice pictures of Coach Bryant. Got some nice shirts/caps.

Yes the owners are Auburn fans, i know them pretty well. But my sister works there and is a HUGE bama fan (after all she did grow up with me :) - if she isn't' at the game with me - its because she'll have to work - so she would want all the bama fans in there she can get :) - so go to Rafters :) plus it's good food, good atmosphere, and lots of tvs.

besides, if winning it might be fun to watch with auburn fans :)

but if you have problems with rafters, there are a couple of other sports bars in the wharf you can walk to

I watched a game at Live Bait once. Big projection TV and Coke in frosty bottles. I also second Indigo Joe's but don't let your lady wander down the street to Kay jewelers.
