Question: Who will be the next verbal commit?

Well, Bama has 20 guys that are lettered and will be seniors in 2011 along with 14 lettered sophomores (doesn't include RS Freshmen). That totals 34 possible scholarships lost after the 2011 season. I am well aware that not all 14 sophomores will go to the NFL. I think Bama will be able to take a full class this season. I do see UA reaching the limit faster than in year's past, though.

Bama could sign more than 25 if we stay true to the trend of several players enrolling early. I see us taking as many as 28-29 players in 2012.

I agree we will be pushing 30 this year, but it would be nice to be half way there before May lol.

You betcha. It'll be nice to lock down this class early then try and avoid the late drama. We're becomming more and more proactive with the early recruitment of players.

That is one thing that I have always liked about Texas (shhhh do not tell anyone). The way they lock down the borders and get the class they want and not to have to worry about people switching or holding breath on 18 years old decisions on NSD.

I think Shanks waits quite a while, maybe even NSD. I think we go for about 25 players max and it's great that we're getting almost half of our players verbally commitment to us well before NSD. That means we get the players we want and not the players we have to end up with

From what I was told, I doubt it.

there was an article on a paysite with a teaser that indicated Shanks was going to "enjoy the process" so I agree that one won't be any time soon.
