Can`t blame him, but I still don`t have to like it.Eh, can't blame the kid a bit. If you're an Alabama native and you have the choice of playing football for either Auburn or Kentucky, well, that's a no-brainer, especially if you grew up an Auburn fan. Just be realistic about the situation.
This one probably does mean, however, that D.J. Howard will either go to Clemson or will not qualify academically. Big shock, right? I know we were all crying over here when Auburn stole him from us... or at least that's what they convinced themselves of.
I hate to see a Walker County kid go down the wrong path.Ryan may have a change of heart and sign with the barn.
Because not all of them will actually sign LOI's . If they do , a couple of them will end up just being "for show" like Demerius Dareus in '08 or have a scholly on hold as was the case with Elliot McGaskin in '07 . Depending on how things shake out , the same is likely to probale for 1 or 2 members of the Alabama class .I thought there was a 28-player limit under the new SEC rules. Why does Auburn have 29 at present?
The barners are not gonna like having to finish up going to B recruits. If they finish up below Bama in the recruiting rankings they may have to put guards on all bridges in lee county.I forgot to mention there have been some in the barn who feel another Cordova player by the name of Logan Kulick could receive a last minute LOI .
That's not going to happen. Logan is going to Wallace State, he is not playing football.I forgot to mention there have been some in the barn who feel another Cordova player by the name of Logan Kulick could receive a last minute LOI .
100% agreement. My Mom is a graduate of Cordova High School, and my uncle, Jimmy Abel, is possibly the best player to ever play there.Eh, can't blame the kid a bit. My uncle (Charles "Baby Doll" Kitchens) played at Cordova in the 50's....on the same team with P.W. Underwood....and he started on the varsity team when he was in the 7th grade. Hearing stories about him from folks that either saw or played with him tell me he was as good as, if not better that P.W. Messed his knee up playing ball in the service if I remember correctly.100% agreement. I could post a long story about Jimmy's rivalry with Billy Richardson, who played at Walker County High at the same time, before signing with Bama.
But that's another story. Congrats to Ryan. He's a great player.

My dad played on those teams back in the 50's. I've heard a many story of P.W.
