Georgia is a great program and its run by one of the few SEC coaches I view to have some integrity. So if the kid wanted to go there I don't think for a minute that speaks poorly of him. The facts are that Georgia is loaded with talent and some kids are going to be better off coming to us. In a few years that situation could be reversed, its comes and goes. So let the kid make his decision, We have had many a player who took Alabama scholarship as a second choice and they were the heart and soul. Remember the britt brothers all grew up Barners. When they make their choice to join the Crimson Tide nation, they become family no matter where they started.
Actually Wesley and Taylor grew up Alabama fans. Justin, being the youngest brother, went against the grain. Of course, he finally came around. However, I think the Britt brothers did have a grandfather that played at Auburn, if I'm not mistaken.

No doubt. I've never said I didn't want him...just figured if he's that smitten with GA and he's sure he will qualify, then maybe he should wait about committing to any school for now as its still early in the season.
On the flipside however, Bama's class as well as UGA's is filling fast so I'm sure that weighs in part of his decision. If we're second on his list, I'm good with that too. Either way I trust CNS and staff on it and it'll be great if he ends up wearing Crimson.

I Don't want you to think I was callling you out because I wasn't I was just talking as a whole. I Enjoy your opinion and that is what makes this site great.

I agree with Cat though. If he still wants to get an offer from Georgia, then he should wait until the last minute, because its not fair to Bama to have to be in fear and lock up a scholarship for now waiting to see if he signs with Georgia.

But on the other hand, you can probably take from that earlier article that he's hurt by Georgia not stepping up to the plate, and is just ready to go where he is wanted and where he thinks he can contribute. Nothing wrong with that. I hope he gets his grades together so he can at least get into the SEC (I really do), and that's whether he goes to Georgia or not. But I have a feeling Saban has it under control and he'll stick to Bama

Bowman's mom and pops are going to be with him today. Methinks that if we sell those two during the game, it would go a really long way toward's shoring up his decision. Also, times have really changed haven't they? Once upon a time, when the monarchy of Mikes ruled Bamanation, you would have heard ZERO negative comments about this kid's love of Ga. Him just thinking about committing to us would have been exceedingly big news. FWIW I think this guy will be a special reciever at the next level and am really pumped that he might come.

Actually it was Wesley who was the aub. He stated CTT stopped recruiting him when it appeared he might go to Florida and that he never understood why. He just sort of fell into our Crimson lap..

Lucky for us!!! :BigA:

Funny how it works sometimes . I think Reamer was a barner & I believe Greenwood is a former fan of Diddy/fsu . Ross might have been a barner as well :conf3: I wonder what school a guy like Prince Hall pulled for when he was growing up ?

Sounds like to me based on the body of evidence available that the kid's heart is with the dawgs, but I don't think that's any reason to NOT recruit him and try to persuade to him to come here. I have faith in our coachs' abilities to handle this kind of thing appropriately, as they probably run into this kind of thing all the time on the recruiting trail. Hopefully this weekend will be a successful 'sales pitch' with him and he'll develop a strong desire to come here...

Michael Bowman has said that he is firm with his commitment to Alabama and that he will not accept a UGA offer.
