Very nice tidbit there BET. And frankly anyone who still thinks Richardson isn't solid just isn't paying attention. Also small note on Randle, Coach Bradley Dale Peveto that just left LSU to become HC at Northwestern State, was in charge of recruiting Randle. I am not saying that this will help our chances all that much but it certainly can't hurt.

So are AJ McCarron and DJ Fluker. A soft verbal according to the sites is not a reason for worry.

Commitments are listed as "soft commitments" if they have official visits planned to other schools.

McCarron will be visiting Ole Miss, Fluker will be visiting LSU, and Richardson will be visiting Florida and LSU... hence the "soft commitment" label.

To be frank, though, I'm not worried about any of them.

Jonathon Atchison was also in Tuscaloosa for an unofficial visit, and he and Richardson and others were trying to woo Randle hard. Atchison asked him if he was coming to Alabama, and he said something to the effect of, "We'll see."

to me, this means nothing. according to you, he was with two bama commits. what did you think he was gonna say?

This is what I have heard and that he actually was supposed to room with someone else and requested the change. I don't know that is 100% true but thats what I'm hearing.

This is what I have heard and that he actually was supposed to room with someone else and requested the change. I don't know that is 100% true but thats what I'm hearing.

I have heard those rumblings, but I have no idea if it's true or not. I will say that it wouldn't really surprise me, because McCarron and Randle have seemingly formed a pretty close relationship on the recruiting trails, but of course that doesn't necessarily mean its true.

We'll see soon enough, I suppose.

The hunt for super recruit Rueben Randle

It took a while for anyone to confirm it, but as CrimsonConfidential.com learned by talking to another prospect who was at practice, that was Randle on campus.

And in the recruiting world, that is relatively big news.

If Randle is not the top remaining target on Alabama's board, he probably should be. He is the five-star of the five stars. Rivals.com has him as the nation's top prospect. Pretty much everyone agrees that the Bastrop, La., quarterback/rushing threat/top-notch receiver will be a sure-fire and immediate star on the next level.

With him doing so well as a HS QB, imagine RR in the "Wild Tide" formation!!

LSU's recruiting is going well (as the past few years) but RR is bound to see his chances at championships are much better with the Tide. Les is doing less with more!!!

Rueben Randle now says that he will take an official visit to Oklahoma State.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't take an official visit to either Alabama or LSU at this point. His father has hinted at that, and with him playing in the Army All-American Game, taking the OSU official visit, and probably an official visit to Miami as well, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he didn't take visits to Alabama or LSU.

Rivals has him coming to Alabama on January 16th, but Scout.com hasn't confirmed that, and it's not firm from what I can tell. Either way, at this point, he can probably only take, at most, an official visit to either Alabama or LSU. Hopefully it's us... If he takes an official visit to us and not LSU, that could be very good news for us.
