Doesn't sound like a huge deal to me. Make him run til he "makes pizzas" and call it a day.

I know it really does no good to say this, but I'll say it anyway. Athletes, especially high profile ones, should just stay away from the bars and clubs. Especially the bars. You've got drunk fans, and I think we all know the trouble drunk fans can stir up. JMO.

This might turn out to be a blessing for LSU. I see Mettenberger being the better QB anyway. I know JJ got lucky against us last year and threw up some hail mary's which were caught, but I still don't think JJ is their best option.

Word on an LSU board is that multiple players were involved. Supposedly, a bunch of players were outside a bar, blocking the road, and some guy in a truck started honking his horn at them to move, at which point things degenerated in a hurry, with the driver being pulled from the car and beaten.

Well if JJ threw a punch you can rest assured it almost certainly didn't hit the target :) :) :) :) :)

That's no "brawl", that's assault. They're looking at potential jail time.

Same thing my LSU co-workers are saying

Yeah, this don't sound good - 'course, very few "positive" things happen at a bar at 2:00 AM. Maybe Lester needs to make practice a little harder, and let them guys work off all that excess energy.

That opener against Oregon is looking more and more troubelsome. No-one asks very much from LSU. But just when we needed LSU to represent the conference by whooping up on the Ducks they crumble under the pressure and go bar brawling. No amount of digested grass will smooth over this situation.

Re: Jordan Jefferson in barfight last night

wow, that went from an almost nothing incident to a serious situation in a hurry. a bar fight is nothing. dragging a person out of their vehicle and beating them with multiple players involved is suspension/expulsion type of activity. i guess it will be interesting to see the police report and hear what really happened.

Wow if charges are made they could see some serious time on the bench

It's been on & off the books twice since the lines opened (for entertainment purposes only), because of the Willie Lyles stuff, the Cliff Harris incident, and the Russell Sheperd confusion. Wonder if this will get it back off

Re: Jordan Jefferson in barfight last night

I still have a hard time dealing with a "bunch of players outside a bar" on all these deals. 99% of these kids are not yet 21 years old and underaged for drinking, yet it seems they are all in bars? The team is made up of 18, 19, 20 and a few 21 year olds. Why is the entire group of 21 year olds hanging in bars? Seems the coaches need to lay down a no bar rule. Caught there, your suspended, period. No more kissie, kissie. I am retired military. I can well remember the days when 18, 19 year olds could get beer in the enlisted clubs on base. No longer in the States can you do this, because state law prohibits it. But, overseas, no problem. In Germany, your 7 year old can got buy you some beer at the beer stand down on the corner. So, I have seen a lot of young guys get smashed on a few beers and really get into trouble. No difference here. Our commanders would deny them going to the clubs when they did this stuff, so it was punishment too them. But, these kids have nothing good happening when they are hitting bars on school nights during the season.

Just because you're at a bar/club doesn't mean you're drinking. Most have an age minimum of 18 or 19.
