A few thoughts from College Station:

It was hot in there today. We haven't really had a serious hot weather game the past few years, and I was proud of Bama's conditioning. (Depth helps too.)

Yeldon narrowly avoided being the goat -- 2 straight years with a 4th quarter fumble against the Aggies at a crucial time -- yuck!

Love me some Vinnie Sunseri -- Mr. Pick Six!

Did I mention it was hot?

Kyle Field isn't exactly a dump, but it badly needs the upgrade that's coming. And honestly the Aggies weren't all that loud. Can't hold a candle to LSU, Florida, Tennessee (when they were good), Auburn, or BDS.

Aggie fans were by far the nicest folks I've been around for a road game. Just really friendly people.

Northgate district was great for pregame libations.

A&M campus not much to look at. And neither are the co-eds. But again, they were all nice.

Great win for the Tide! Should be undefeated when LSU comes to town!

Glad we won't see Johnny Football again.

Bama should have won by 3 or 4 TD's. Refs started calling lots of crooked penalties on us - including the horse collar on Manziel that wasn't -- and that really made a difference in keeping them in the game.

RTR!!!

Texas A&M should move UP in the polls after this game. That was the talk at my local bar here in Virginia...where they are NOT necessarily Bama fans. I tend to agree.
They are a top 5 team, and they will work their way back into the top 5 over the course of the season.
It's not out of the question that if they run the table and we run the table (and a bunch of other things fell in place) that they could get into the BCSNCG like we did without winning the SEC in 2011.

Just saying!

I think that all of the close calls went aTm's way, and there were a couple of horrible calls that went their way, but you won so I would just let it go.
There were many awful calls but the personal foul and targeting that wasn't on HA HA was RIDICULOUS!
What should he do there? Stand by and let him catch it and then tackle? Awful

I cannot recall the last time Bama had such a high scoring game and won by only 7. That being said, I am glad we came out with a win and was wondering during all the heroics of Johnny. Thanks for the OL play. Thanks for AJ leadership. Thanks for Sunseri. Thanks for Mosely. I wanted a beat down of the aggies, but got to give it to the aTm kids, they never quit. I hope we get some DBs healed up soon. Oh, thanks for Jalston Fowler and Drake for their work. Did I thank the OL? Well, I second that thanks.:BigA::BigA:
I know if and buts and all but they did get just about every break go there way and we gifted them a 14 pt. swing with that fumble. If holding had been called like it should have I honestly think it would have been an absolute rout. Just being honest. But you play the hand your dealt and Bama won so I'm happy.

Couple of thoughts- I was super happy to see the emergence of OJ Howard and K. Drake. With TJ, Fowler, and Drake we've got a nice, versatile rotation.

One question I'm not sure anyone can answer: Where has Chris Black been so far? Heard so much about him, but haven't seen him on the field yet.

I won't go into specifics, but I got a PM from another poster fussing at me for a comment I made about the horrid officiating. I can't be the only one who saw that as a terribly officiated game. Johnny threw over the line of scrimmage, not to mention the holding that #76 was committing. If I even attempted to type out just some of the bad calls that were made, I'd be here all night. Anywho, we won, and that's what matters. Time to get ready for Jim McElwain and the Colorado State Rams.
This was a terribly officiated game, which is par for the course for Ritter's crew. Anyone who thinks otherwise wasn't paying attention, IMHO.

What is pitiful is that they can overrule the ejection for targeting, but not the yards penalized. That is the worst call I have seen in a while.

Have you seen tOSU schedule? ;)
Like I said, a bunch of things would have to fall into place. It's highly unlikely, but not out of the question and don't think it wouldn't be the most anticipated championship game in the history of college football (right behind LSU/Bama in 2011 and ND/Bama last year ).

Was one of the worst called games I've seen. Homecooking all over the joint.
No doubt about that. They kept them in the game. Well we won so I won't complain anymore. I will say this, they had everything going for them (at home, media, refs)and we had everything against us (on the road, the heat, media that wants us to lose, preseason No.1 ranking)and we did not fold This say to me that this won't be a 2010 repeat.

Great game. Manziel is unbelievable. I'm close to recommending that defensive lineman should not try to one-on-one tackle him, he just ends up making them look stupid. The Ags have a lot of weapons, Evans is great, their O line is very good, Malena is top notch. They may not lose another game and I'm glad we dont have to play them again.

I'm pumped because there are are couple of easy things that Bama can do - like tone down the 100 yards in penalties. Seeing our O line come together was very good. Yeldon played well but the fumble and the celebration must both be fixed. Cooper is still waiting on his breakout game this year, but others are stepping up.
