Pick the score: Alabama vs. Auburn

I’ll be curious out of the gate if Saban and Sark try to play ball control against Auburn, who no doubt will try to own time of possession as well. Do we change our offense so we compete to win TOP or do we continue to employ an aggressive gameplan (and thus risk quick three and outs)?

I predict the former. And a big day for Najee as a receiver out of the backfield. Our red zone offense issues make the final closer than the stat sheet indicates.

Bama 23
Auburn 17

The Alabama offensive line will have to face that challenge, not Mac. Alabama wins this game handily if Mac has time. If Mac does not, then the game will be a struggle.

Auburn only sacked Burrow 3 times in their game. Alabama's offensive line is significantly better than LSU's, especially at the tackle positions. Mac Jones is not a statue back there. He is probably more mobile than Tua has been - certainly more mobile than Tua was last year in this game. Tua was sacked exactly 1 time last year by Auburn.

Whatever happens, happens, but Alabama could as easily win this game by 20+ as by 3. It comes down to a single thing - winning the LOS.
I agree with you; however, I haven't seen a lot that gives me confidence that we will win the line of scrimmage. If we do, yes, I think we can win by a few scores.

Just wasted 10 minutes of time watching Spears and Stephen A -- basically say that they don't think Bama is a Top 4 team, regardless of what happens this weekend, makes me want to scream......

Joey Galloway -- was the voice of reason of the three.....

And Kellerman was saying Bama deserves it if they beat Auburn by more than LSU did.....

(heavy sigh!) -- I just hope chaos reigns -- and they have no choice but to put this one-loss non-deserving team in......and then watch to see who Vegas makes the favorite

Then they are doing what they are paid for.... to cause obnoxious controversy for the sake of ratings.

Galloway learned early on that he couldn't just be a one trick pony to survive in the analyst world, and he evolved from just being a SEC hater to a broader prognosticator. Its something that Danny cant figure out.

If we go to Auburn and win, whether it is by one or by twenty, I think we are more deserving than any other one loss team. It barely seems close, but some definitely want to see Bama left out this year. We just need to control what we can control and go take care of business on the plains. We'll see if we're good enough to get that done in just a few days.

Yet Finebaum is blowing Bama's horn loud today.....

They are all a bunch of "look at me" princesses..... frustrating

I plan to go back and look, but I wonder how many of our OLine and Auburn's D line are the same players from last year when we beat them by a good margin? That is the key to the game... let Mac do his job. I sure hope he does not get hurt.

We will need help from Jalen Waddle on Special Teams and for our defense to get a pick 6.

I wonder how long Saban and Gus have been planning on this game in detail.

Nothing that you see from Auburn will be new to Saban, but some of it will be new to your newer coaches. Everything that Auburn sees will be new. Both coaching staffs have been working on this game prep for 2 weeks, no matter what they say or would have us believe.

Nope, that's true. But if you are predicting an Auburn victory -- on a Bama site -- you best come with some reasoning behind it. If you don't, then it comes off as trolling. Which it did.....

What has Auburn done to make anyone think that they will beat us this year?
No, you don't. The original post asked for a prediction, not a prediction and the reason why. We are only favored by 3 points, and the game is at Auburn, where weird things happen.

And when it comes to what has Auburn done to make anyone think they will beat us this year, they've won 7 games, currently ranked @ #15, and have the most unbelievable luck when playing at home. It's not trolling to say they'll win, it's a possibility.

Not necessarily. This thread isn't about who you want to win, it's about who you believe will win, and it's not out of the question to believe we could lose @ Auburn. It happened 2 years ago.
No doubt we can lose to the Barn. I think the point is why even make a prediction as a Bama fan on a Bama board that we are going to lose. 99% of us hope and don't think that is a good prediction. It is your right to post a losing score in the prediction thread but it is probably a good idea to just not make a prediction at all due to the above mentioned. There is no prize for being right.

Isn't the title of this thread "Pick the Score"?

And, yes, there is a prize for being right. It's not monetary, but it is a contest.

Folks are free to give up on Alabama if they wish, but their fellow fans will remember. Right or wrong - they lose. What do they lose? Respect.

How much effort does it take to believe? And, honestly, if you don't believe in your team, are you really a fan? Look up the word.

I picked Bama to win. But I also believe anyone on the board can pick what they feel the final score will be, given the title of this thread. I didn't realize folks were so fragile that they couldn't see an opposing pick.
