I hear ya, but I'd bet any UGA fan would be telling you they're very disappointed in their margin of victory over Vandy today. If Georgia is vulnerable then so is everyone.

I'm not willing to say we can't win the rest of them and prove all the doubters wrong.

Heck our 92 championship title team struggled mightily versus La Tech and Southern Miss and then blew the doors off Miami so.... Anything's still possible.
My heart was in my throat in several of the games in the 1992 season. The 17-10 win at Tennessee drove me bonkers. We showed we were more than capable of running them right out of the stadium in the first half. Only to let them back in it, kind of like today. I forget that we used to win games like that on a regular basis LOL

Who knows. Maybe this is setting up to be a sort of Cinderella year. I may need to take some fish oil supplements to help the old ticker LOL

All I'm going to say this, and I keep saying this for the last two weeks:

Operate on Week-to-week basis for this team. They are going to experience growing pain, and maturity pain as well.

Nothing we say on here will force the team to get better going forward. We just have to keep watching them grow, and one day this season, they will figure it out.

We can complain about what they're not doing in the game, and it's not going to help the team. I promise you, they will figure it out, and when they do, we'll be pleased. Just be patient and enjoy the season. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Enjoy the unknown... it's rare. appreciate that.

Proctor needs to work on quickness. He's too slow. Seems it's either good 1st half, bad 2nd half, or vice versa. Got to somehow get both halves good.
Drop about 25 pounds and that quickness will improve. I don't think you need to play at 350, especially if you are getting beat by faster edge rushers. 325 would still be a very good sized O-Lineman.

I'm not really surprised by today's performance. I think the team thought they would beat Arkansas easily.

Then we struggled a little in the 1st quarter. But we rallied in the 2nd quarter and the team went back to the "See? No worries." mentality.

Then we sleep-walked through the 3rd quarter and let them get back in the game in the 4th.

But we found a way to win. It was ugly but it was a win. Lots of coaching opportunities. We can still win out and go to the SECC or we may lose a game or 2 as we play through the remaining SEC games.

My take at this point:
1) the defense is good and will keep us in the game with anyone.
2) JM is very inconsistent and very hot-and-cold. Our offense is basically throw it deep, otherwise try to get into field goal range.
3) our OL is bad. Until we fix that problem, there's not a lot JM can do and CTR is severely handicapped in what he can call and do with our offense.
4) I really dislike the attitude and antics of Burton. CNS needs to get him under control.
Agree totally. IDK why he hasn't already received a taunting penalty...

This thread is almost unreadable. We need a post game complaint thread.
Actually, it always has been. We don't try to moderate negativity here, never have and will not ever. Apparently many still don't understand why/how we moderate it in the game threads. It's because it's a GAME THREAD, not a personal gripe thread. Here, people are free to vent, as always...

After sitting on it for a while, whipping out a few tunes on the guitar and watching some other games, I'm thinking this. We had a tough game last week and played very well. Today we had a good first half, but came out in the second half like a bunch of lost puppies. Perhaps we just thought we had this one already in the bag and Arky would just roll over for us. (Obviously they didn't). We sucked it up just enough to not lose the game. Hopefully we learned something from this.

Fair question: Did we recruit Kayden Proctor on potential rather than talent? Every starting defensive end /LB blows right by the dude like he’s a statute. He is sooooooo slow.
I don't think they "planned" for him to start. At least I hope not. 95 percent of all freshmen OL's are just not ready for SEC play in their first year. We've had a few rare exceptions who started who played through some growing pains. But we were generally very solid elsewhere on the line when they did. We've also had multi-year NFL starter who did not play as freshmen. Some OT's need some help against speed rushers. Our OC does not seem to recognize that at critical times, or maybe Jalen is not picking it up when he should.

Anybody know why Armold was over at the hogs huddle at one point in second half? I didn’t notice it until I saw the official come and wave him back to our side. Jaw jacking?

I’m with you J81.
It seemed like CNS knew exactly what to expect at halftime. He said that they needed to focus on finishing and keeping their focus and intensity up with the lead. It’s like he was more worried about his team being ahead because they haven’t been in that situation since the first game. Unfortunately he was right on the money. This game could have been 50-6 as easily as it was close. Defense was playing well until the offense sputtered so badly. I’m still optimistic that they will put it together. I know they want to more than anyone.
I stand by my and others assessment of Burton’s crap. It’s a stain and it reflects extremely poorly on the team and the entire university that we all support, love, and respect. It’s waaaaaay past a one off and it’s time for CNS to say, “Enough of this $&”%! GROW UP OR SIT!!!!”
