Well that's fine, but I don't think he should be. It would be a shame to let Lonergan and Simpson walk for this guy. I mean, if Texas gets the best of him again, then what will have really done? He will have played well against mediocre defenses, but not so well against the elite defenses. Everyone keeps forgetting that he had a mediocre game against Georgia. In my eyes, he will have proven nothing if he doesn't win the National Championship.

This, in a word, is preposterous. Can he improve? Sure. But he has nothing to prove to his coaches or his teammates. Your narrow criteria for judging success or failure is the antithesis of what this program stands for. Jalen Milroe -- and this team -- have gotten better every game. They compete their guts out. They should make every Alabama fan proud whether they win the next two games or not.

Your post reeks of pure entitlement.

You either don't watch football or don't know football.
When BY was here we had our hands tied by a mediocre (at best) OC.
You throw an OC the caliber of Kiffin or Sark in the mix and BY likely walks away with two titles.

Milroe, while he has improved exponentially, still cannot walk up too the line of scrimmage and see where the pressure is coming from (not consistently anyway) and still consistently misses wide open receivers because he still can't see the whole field most of the time.

Now, we have won games and won enough to get into the playoffs and I think we'll win it but don't pretend that JM is a better qb than BY.
Not for nothing, BY walked away with a Heisman, an SEC Championship, and the #1 pick in the NFl Draft. He’s an accomplished player.

But he’s not JM. JM is on a different level and you will appreciate his greatness 13 months from now.

You might want to watch yourself. I'm pretty sure you're skating on thin ice.
Alexander Fan is one of the most respected posters on here.
You? well that remains to be seen.
Certainly; I don’t care about Alexander’s status on tidefans. I’m here to support JM, and if the fanbase cannot handle constructive criticism, then I invite you to ban me.

I’m not wrong, he is, and if thousands of posts convince anyone of anything, then this isn’t the right place for me.

JM and BY will be judged by the championships they won. Same can be said about Tua and Hurts. JM will win two national championships, and despite his talent, BT will be remembered as the Heisman QB who couldn’t get it done.

I graduated from Bama in 2008, I love this program and this is not a troll post. JM will be considered a better QB than BY and it’s because he’s a better leader and a true champion.

I don't know what to tell other than you're just blind or just enjoy being an antagonist, Either is just as bad.......

That makes zero sense. That’s basically saying Josh Heupel is a better quarterback than Baker Mayfield or Jay Barker is better than Bryce Young.

And herein lies your problem..........you seem to have no respect for others if they don't wholeheartedly agree with you.

I don’t have respect for folks who question JM’s status as our starting QB. He’s earned that and I’m afraid that’s a dealbreaker for me. If that perspective earns a BAN, then I accept it.

I’m not asking to get banned but JM is the best QB this program has seen in a long while and I stand by that.

How is it "pure entitlement" to not be sold on him yet? The fact remains that Milroe has done his best work against mediocre defenses. That's why I keep pointing to the Texas game. It's a chance to prove us that he is who many of you think he is. They're the best defense he's faced all season, and he was awful the first time. He was completely off against Georgia, but happened to make a few throws when we needed. He's done some solid work, but his shortcomings have shown up at least once or twice, in every game. He still misses a lot of throws that he shouldn't. Don't get me wrong, he's done some good things also, but it's just that we have 2 other QBs on the roster with enormous ceilings, and they are both much better passers. I would hate to lose them to the portal.

I'm not saying that if he doesn't win a championship, then he's no good. I'm just saying that winning a championship would likely mean that he played well against 2 excellent defenses, and so we could then definitively say that he's the best chance we have at a championship next season. If that doesn't happen, then it will be difficult to definitively say that he's the better choice next year than Simpson or Lonergan.

Someone mentioning about being potentially banned twice for things they are saying in a dialogue, yet is still throwing insults at someone really leads most to believe that the intention of that poster is to troll until they get banned.

It oozes entitlement because you set a single benchmark to judge him. Nothing about his improvement. Nothing about leadership or effort or competitiveness. He could play flawlessly and still fail in your eyes. It's silly ... and entitled. He doesn't owe you or any of us anything. He and his teammates already have exceeded realistic expectations. Sorry, bud, but your tone in these posts on Milroe is dismissive and insulting.

At least you admit you have no respect for those that don't agree with you......even if it does show your ignorance.

How else would I judge him? The benchmark is his entire body of work this season. I'm not sure how it's unreasonable to say that he needs to play a great game against a great defense in order to feel confident that he is the best option moving forward. He's done his best work against mediocre defenses, so he still has yet to prove he can get it done against a defense as good as Texas. It's got nothing to do with the trophy, just that winning a championship means that he would have likely played well against 2 great defenses.

To be clear, I have no issue with Milroe whatsoever. I sincerely hope that he is exactly who many of you say that he is, because I want a national championship. I think he has done some awesome work this year. I am just very cautious because I'm not completely sold on the run first type of QB.

Again, we all hope that you are correct. Now, please stop telling other posters that they do not understand football if they disagree with you. It is condescending and makes you look bad, not them.

Lol what? JM will win 2 championships is bold and he'd have to have a heck of a season next year to be considered better than Bryce. All are possible but far from guaranteed

Understood. I respect your B1GTide, I’ll do my best to tone it down.
