it’s not necessary for you to concur; it’s only necessary that you watch. JM will show the world why he’s Elite. That makes zero sense. That’s basically saying Josh Heupel is a better quarterback than Baker Mayfield or Jay Barker is better than Bryce Young.
Now I know I’m arguing with a troll or someone in grade school because there is no way a response like this can be taken seriously.it’s not necessary for you to concur; it’s only necessary that you watch. JM will show the world why he’s Elite.
He’s not a better QB right now than AJ was by the time he left Bama…more dynamic and dangerous?…yes…better QB?…no.It doesn’t matter what you say; JM is going to need to show these folks.
The first and last thought through opposing DCs’ minds is how do we stop JM. Every down is influenced by his talent
It says you don’t understand football. You don’t understand why JM is a better QB than AJ; that’s perfectly acceptable, it’s subtle. Rather than arguing with you, can you explain why NFL scouts feel the same way I do, but disagree with you?
100%He’s not a better QB right now than AJ was by the time he left Bama…more dynamic and dangerous?…yes…better QB?…no.
AJ was nowhere near Milroe as an athlete, but Milroe is nowhere near where AJ was in terms of overall QB play involving reading a defense, adjusting pre and post snap and so on.
If/when Milroe masters those areas, and with his physical abilities, he will be an all-time great…but he’s not there yet.
I hope he gets there.
It’s like me telling you my son will president some day, and when he’s president you’ll see what I was talking about. Now I know I’m arguing with a troll or someone in grade school because there is no way a response like this can be taken seriously.
You have not tried once to have an intelligent conversation. All you want to do is tip toe close to calling people stupid and then tell us that Milroe is the greatest quarterback to have ever touched the ball without making any attempt to having a thoughtful discussion with people who aren’t as sure as you about it.
I think people forget how good he was by his final year because of all the great QBs that followed him.100%
Texas wasn't all on Milroe. The OL wasn't ready. They looked pretty bad for several games. We couldn't hardly run the ball, and Milroe wasn't getting protection. This team needed a few games of preparation. How is it "pure entitlement" to not be sold on him yet? The fact remains that Milroe has done his best work against mediocre defenses. That's why I keep pointing to the Texas game. It's a chance to prove us that he is who many of you think he is. They're the best defense he's faced all season, and he was awful the first time. He was completely off against Georgia, but happened to make a few throws when we needed. He's done some solid work, but his shortcomings have shown up at least once or twice, in every game. He still misses a lot of throws that he shouldn't. Don't get me wrong, he's done some good things also, but it's just that we have 2 other QBs on the roster with enormous ceilings, and they are both much better passers. I would hate to lose them to the portal.
I'm not saying that if he doesn't win a championship, then he's no good. I'm just saying that winning a championship would likely mean that he played well against 2 excellent defenses, and so we could then definitively say that he's the best chance we have at a championship next season. If that doesn't happen, then it will be difficult to definitively say that he's the better choice next year than Simpson or Lonergan.
Exactly! Except your son is 6-2, runs a 4-4, and earned 1.7M in NIL this year. This could be the best analogy on tidefans! It’s like me telling you my son will president some day, and when he’s president you’ll see what I was talking about.
I’m sure there’s some fancy philosophical term for it, but I’m not that knowledgeable.
Idk it’s like everyone who said we would three peat when Tua hit 2nd and 26. It’s weird that you didn’t hear much of that after Clemson beat us in 2018, but I guarantee you that many of them would’ve been talking had we won back to back. Winning football games is harder than what people believe. I’m not so sure we will win the next two games let alone next year. Are the odds in our favor… Mostly but it’s going to be tough. It’s like me telling you my son will president some day, and when he’s president you’ll see what I was talking about.

I love what JM is doing. Bryce is an elephant length better than Jalen, maybe two. That’s not a knock on JM either. Bryce was QBing with both as tied behind his back with BoB, and still won the Heisman. Recency bias got you and I understand. JM is way more athletic but BY is probably the best QB we’ve had.I’m not joking.
I don’t think those stats would do much for making it to the White House, but maybe.Exactly! Except your son is 6-2, runs a 4-4, and earned 1.7M in NIL this year. This could be the best analogy on tidefans!
Can you come up with facts or are you just a politician or CNN/Fox employee?Exactly! Except your son is 6-2, runs a 4-4, and earned 1.7M in NIL this year. This could be the best analogy on tidefans!
All of this. Winning is hard. We will have to beat 2 very good teams to win it all. As much as I think we matchup well with Michigan in some ways I still think it's a very losable game. I see the script for it.Idk it’s like everyone who said we would three peat when Tua hit 2nd and 26. My problem is that we have someone that is saying that Milroe will be the greatest quarterback in Alabama history after two games in which he didn’t play particularly great. Great when he needed to be but those performances aren’t really ones that suggest that Bryce, AJ, and Tua should expect company right the second. I think he could be in the conversation with a good next two games and a great second season. However at this point he is far closer to the Sims and Coker category than the AJ, Bryce, and Tua tier. Before it gets twisted… He is better than both Sims and Coker but he is still not the threat that Tua, Bryce, and AJ were passing and picking apart defenses.
It’s a testament to Milroe’s growth that we can even have this conversation. I think however this particular poster’s goal is more to stoke the fires of emotions and to start a fight. So it’s just another poster on my ignore list…. I was hoping to stay below 5 of those but some of these new posters….

You? well that remains to be seen.
I would have phrased it differently if we could swear on this board, regardless, I don't like your assessment. Hope you continue to doubt him.Just because people didn’t “feel” Milroe means the critiques of his play were incorrect. It also doesn’t mean people hope he fails, because that means the team fails as well.
He did not say that he doubts Milroe. He pointed out the holes in his game that still require work. And he did not express doubt about his ability to correct those things. I did not see anything in that post that was factually incorrect.I would have phrased it differently if we could swear on this board, regardless, I don't like your assessment. Hope you continue to doubt him.
