A former work colleague and I had a discussion when NIL first became a “thing”. He said players wouldn’t be getting “stupid money” because the boosters funding these collectives aren’t stupid people. They didn’t get wealthy being “stupid”. He stated “the market will level out”.

My point was there ARE boosters that being able to buy players for “their” program will be recreational for them….like playing for thousand of dollars in a nassau on the golf course.

Well, the money continues to get “stupider” and player demands get more outrageous.

I’m about done with it all.

Seriously, for guys like yella fella, this NIL business is chicken feed. 4-5 mil per year probably wouldn't make a dent. Just means other, more worthwhile endeavors probably won't be sponsored as much as before.
