Not sure what to make of this.
Putin sends signals of willingness to freeze war – New York Times
Putin apparently signals he is willing to freeze the conflict along the current confrontation line.
Military history is full of episodes in which a leader decided to throw in the towel just before the other side gave way. This dynamic applies to both the Ukrainians and the Russians.

Sadly, "frozen conflict" means the shooting stops (for now), but the political question underlying the conflict remains absolutely unresolved.
Worse, all it takes for the conflict to heat back up is adding ammo when it suits one side or the other.
There are several in the post-Soviet space: Transnistria, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Nagorno-Karabakh.

Stunning video of the destruction of the Russian warship Novocherkassk in Crimea:

JUST IN: Ukraine launches attack against Russia, destroying the Novocherkassk, a Russian warship in Crimea. Ukraine has taken responsibility for the attack, claiming the ship was completely destroyed. The ship was reportedly 360-feet long and had the ability to transport 10 tanks along with hundreds of troops Russia says the attack was carried out by “aircraft-guided missiles” but didn’t confirm whether or not the ship was completely destroyed. It is currently unknown how many people were killed.

Seeing reports of people finding pieces of the hull over a kilometer away. There was a lot of whatever caused that secondary explosion. Internet rumors are saying Shahed drones. Could be ammo. Either way going to be hard to replace that OR find a safe place to store it. Reading Russia is full speed ahead on setting up alternative port in Georgia so they can get their ships out of Shadow Storm range. UK assessment is that 20% of their Black Sea fleet is destroyed.

I doubt we'll ever know what was loaded but I read where the Novocherkassk was capable of transporting 4,400 artillery shells, 280 Grad missiles, and was crewed by 62 sailors.

Given the problems the Russians have had with rail, road, bridges, etc. I'd bet they are using ships like the Novocherkassk to move ammo.
Shipload of ammo + stormshadow missile = big boom.
