JUST IN: Ukraine launches attack against Russia, destroying the Novocherkassk, a Russian warship in Crimea. Ukraine has taken responsibility for the attack, claiming the ship was completely destroyed. The ship was reportedly 360-feet long and had the ability to transport 10 tanks along with hundreds of troops Russia says the attack was carried out by “aircraft-guided missiles” but didn’t confirm whether or not the ship was completely destroyed. It is currently unknown how many people were killed.
That's shameful...This one is pathetic.
A Russian MTLB (known as a "meatball" in the US Army), is evacuating casualties. One guy "misses the bus."
Seeing reports of people finding pieces of the hull over a kilometer away. There was a lot of whatever caused that secondary explosion. Internet rumors are saying Shahed drones. Could be ammo. Either way going to be hard to replace that OR find a safe place to store it. Reading Russia is full speed ahead on setting up alternative port in Georgia so they can get their ships out of Shadow Storm range. UK assessment is that 20% of their Black Sea fleet is destroyed.Stunning video of the destruction of the Russian warship Novocherkassk in Crimea:
I doubt we'll ever know what was loaded but I read where the Novocherkassk was capable of transporting 4,400 artillery shells, 280 Grad missiles, and was crewed by 62 sailors.Seeing reports of people finding pieces of the hull over a kilometer away. From that chart, I'd say more than 20% of their total tonnage has gone down. Also, just saw this image of the Russian Navy with confirmed sunk shipsd out:

Given the problems the Russians have had with rail, road, bridges, etc. I'd bet they are using ships like the Novocherkassk to move ammo.I doubt we'll ever know what was loaded but I read where the Novocherkassk was capable of transporting 4,400 artillery shells, 280 Grad missiles, and was crewed by 62 sailors.
