He’ll get one more year, if nothing else because the game is in JHS next year.Freeze will get one more year, but his seat will be plenty warm. His commitment to PT is interesting. Not a good look for CHF.

Saban was basing his projections off of talent. He had the order correct but miscalculated due to QB talent and team culture. Even the most hardened Aubarn hater was expecting a much better showing this year from them. What could go wrong has gone wrong...Saban was very high on Auburn. He said he felt like they were gonna be the most improved team in the league. Seems like he mixed them up with Vandy or USCe.
Oh, I'm not saying I disagreed with him at all. I was actually quite worried about Auburn this year, because it seemed like this was one of those "they always win the SEC when people think they'll be horrible" type years.Saban was basing his projections off of talent. I wasn't disagreeing with you but was adding to the conversation. We are on the same page with that. With the WR talent PF has around him and the defense being solid, I also expected a much different season for them. When they lost to Cal I was shocked to say the least!Oh, I'm not saying I disagreed with him at all. Given what had happened with previous coaches...that is standard operating procedure down there. There is absolutely no doubt that they have been doing this since the day he was hired...just to keep in their back pocket.I think you are right. He better make sure his texts are encrypted and he keeps any mischievous personal things out of the wrong hands because you can best believe there will be vultures looking to find a termination with cause on him in the coming months. I also don't see them keeping all the commits they currently have up until signing day. The headlines are starting to get quite negative. Look for some decommitments to start stacking up over the next month. This will only add a few layers of charcoal to an already hot seat.
...or maybe he was trying out the whole "rat poison" thing just to enjoy the other side of the fence for a change.Saban was very high on Auburn. He said he felt like they were gonna be the most improved team in the league. Seems like he mixed them up with Vandy or USCe.
Saban made a statement two weeks ago that it was much easier for him to get the team up to play Tennessee than it was for him to get them excited about playing Aubarn. I'd like to see that changed ASAP. I don't care if they have to put the Kick 6 on loop in the football facility the entire week, we need to have a sense of urgency that week!Regardless, they'll play like their hair is on fire in the IB.
As long as they come up short, let them save Freeze with a good showingRegardless, they'll play like their hair is on fire in the IB.
barn has more talent than Cal, Arky, Vandy and even Oklahoma and yet loss to all of them AT HOME!They are realistically staring down the barrel of 4-8 in his second season. That is unacceptable in a coaches second season.
Saban has always been playing chess when everyone else is playing checkers. You can definitely not put that past him!...or maybe he was trying out the whole "rat poison" thing just to enjoy the other side of the fence for a change.
If that's the goal, maybe the strategy is to tank the rest of the year.Based off what I'm hearing he would be more than happy to take 20+ million and ride off into the sunset.
What incentive would there be for Freeze to negotiate? The contract is quite clear on what he would get if terminated. Isn't Sexton his agent? If that's the goal, maybe the strategy is to tank the rest of the year.
Alternatively, reach a negotiated settlement whereby the barn doesn't pay the full buyout, but Freeze is still set for life.
I'll go on record now and say with the addition of Clifford down low for Alabama, we are much stronger on the boards and defensively than we have been since Oats has been in town. Aubarn used those two weaknesses to their advantage over the last few years. Clifford will neutralize Broome and that will be a problem for them. Bama sweeps them this year and does so in going away fashion. Pearl will get a taste of Freeze's medicine.Auburn scraped the bottom of the ethical sewer twice in taking Pearl/Freeze. It seems they hit close to 50% in that effort which, I guess, isn't that bad. If Pearl falls farther behind CNO this year they may decide they're really not that close to hitting 50%. Darn, hate it for them.
