This makes me want to laugh in his face
It very likely confirms that the coaching brain trust that made Washington run is Ryan Grubb who is now OC with the Seattle Seahawks. Disagree or criticize my opinion but I don't see DeBoer capable of success in the SEC. We hear frequently about installing his "system". From my perspective that "system" is playing QB with the Alanta Falcons and coaching in Seattle.

Well, I do think Jam would have done better if he was a more focal point of the offense instead of just a change of pace. He gets ten carries while Milroe throws the ball 32 times, that seems uneven doesn't it?

Having said that, if we just go by averages which can be misleading, Jam averaged 5.1 per carry in his time at Alabama and Haynes averaged 5.9. I certainly would have liked to see both get more carries though, but my main point was just if people didn't like how the running game looked with Jam, perhaps we should have seen more of the other guys as well.
What game are you watching today to suggest we had any running game. Outside of a few runs by Milroe and Richard Young Michigan dominated our offensive line today.

I’ve seen this suggested but I have a very difficult time believing it. What exactly is the player motivation to do this?
You don't remember what it's like to be part of a peer group as a teenager/young adult? For me, it's the MOST plausible explanation, they were offended FOR Milroe when we brought in Buchner. Interesting that Downs was Milroe's bfast buddy at the Waysider every week, and that's also the game he got trucked so badly

DeBoer said “no I didn’t” when asked if he considered a change at quarterback with Jalen Milroe struggling early. “I saw a fighter. The fight in his eyes. As long as I see that, I want to hang in there with the guys this program means a lot to.”

That’s great coach. But maybe make winning the game a little higher priority. Chuck Wepner was a fighter. How’d that work out.

We had running backs that got yards when they were given a chance.

One already left because of the limited carries.

The other got two carries.

So, what I am reiterating is that you can't have a running game if you don't use the running game! Also, what I'm saying and I've said all along is that a lot less can go wrong in the running game. If Alabama does nothing but hand the ball off in the first half and still only get 2.5 yards per carry, they still do much better.

Maybe not for much longer on the Seattle front. Lots of smoke that Grubb may be out. Although what we might not like is that he is likely out due to his refusal to run the ball, which resulted in a poor offensive output. Might be a lump of goal wrapped in a gift bag though. Then again CNS was a pretty good judge of coaching talent at the college level and he surely wanted him. Doesn't make him perfect but it matters for something.
