1) He lost a home in the California wildfires back in January - he lost everything he had except for his World Series ring and one suitcase he had with him in Portugal

2) He was planning to be here in Chicago just five days from now to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the White Sox World Series team; he was the closer.

Connie Francis has died at the age of 87, two weeks after it was revealed that she'd been hospitalized due to "extreme pain."

Just looked - drowned while swimming on family vacation. Goodness, how awful.

I just had to tell my son. He worked with Malcolm on "The Resident," and they texted from time to time, Malcolm encouraging him in his efforts to act professionally.

Needless to say, he's broken up about it.

It hits close to home for a lot of us, but my boy actually worked with him.
