Not really trying to blame any president really... It hasn't even been proven he works for the government. He could be easily a contractor for a consulting firm hired by the government. It is, however, a bit ridiculous to suggest that Obama himself hired him.

He does if you disagree with his politics and want to blame him specifically.

I don't think the purpose is to go green so much as that it is cheaper. It is driven by low subscription numbers as most people can just look on the internet for similar, free stories.

I have an Amex Delta Sky Miles ($95/year) and I'd recommend it. I also have the Hilton HHonors Citi Visa Signature (no fee) and highly recommend that as well. That way I have the flight and the hotel taken care of. I like to have one Amex and one Visa.
