Re: 2010 Alabama Commitments and Prospects List (Updated 01/05)

Mosley's instincts make him dangerous defender for Theodore
Theodore linebacker Clinton Mosley flashed big-play ability in 2008, most notably in a midseason victory over Charles Henderson.

Mosley's 94-yard fumble return — one of three defensive touchdowns for Mosley last season — tied the game at 28, and the Bobcats went on to win 41-38 in overtime.

"I think it was a toss, and the running back didn't see it," Mosley remembered. "When I came around to make the tackle, I saw the ball. I picked it up and ran all the way (for the touchdown). I almost passed out, I was so happy. I started crying, and I was thanking God. I was crying until we got back on defense for the next drive."

U.S. Army National All-Combine Team: Defense
LINEBACKERS

First Team: Khairi Fortt, 6-2, 216, Stamford, Conn; C.J. Moseley, 6-2, 215, Theodore, Ala.; Brandon Thornton, 6-3, 195, Conroe, Texas
Fortt finished with 118 tackles, four forced fumbles and two interceptions this season, and he's already ranked as one of the top 250 juniors to watch in the nation. He showed the same type of explosiveness in the combine as he did on the field. Moseley had one of the best looking frames of any defensive player in the event, and he showed he's got the speed to hang with quick running backs. Thornton showed well last summer at a Texas camp, and he did showed well again at the combine, proving to be one of the best defenders at the combine. His size, speed and ball-hawking ability will make him a heavily recruited player in the Lone Star State.

OT Juwuan James 6'3" 195 Suwanee, Ga. seems a little light, must be a misprint. ???
Yeah, that's pretty much all wrong. Both Scout.com and Rivals have him in the neighborhood of about 6'5 and 290 pounds.

6-5 178? is that right? too frail for d-1 ball.
No way that's too frail... if anything that sounds pretty good.

You have to keep in mind that many of these kids at the junior combines are only 16 years old, and if not they generally just turned seventeen. He's a definite string bean at this point, but with a frame like that, I don't think any legitimate collegiate S&C program would have any trouble putting an extra 20-30 pounds on him to get him to where he needs to be, and that's assuming Mother Nature doesn't just fix that problem on its own.

I don't know that's he's that small anymore, go look at his profile and pull up all his photos. In the first two pics he looks much bigger than the rest, not sure if they were before or after the combines, but he definitely has the frame to put on weight.

I'm assuming those were taken before the combines, or maybe the pics are just misleading.
