So was getting caught smoking crack with an FBI informant on video and going to prison, but it didn't stop that guy from getting re-elected mayor of the nation's capital, either. And I'm not talking about Rob Ford, either.


But he's right about one thing as far as candidacies: as Tom Nichols says repeatedly, we are not a serious nation.

Obviously not an intelligent, or ethical, or moral, or patriotic one either (last in the truest sense of the word).

So even though Warnock is close I don’t see him getting to 50%; can he convince the libertarians to vote for him? I guess that depends on their tolerance for the blocking dummy. But, then again, they are libertarians so it might be a reach to think they’d break for Warnock. I think the only chance is to set Walker up to do something so outrageous (like assaulting someone) that Warnock not only gets their votes but peels off some of the tackling dummy’s support.
It’s Georgia so who knows ?

And for the comment about Kemp winning by a landslide or whatever it was, he won by 300k votes. See the article above I posted about 160000 Democratic votes being challenged. Minus the outright voter suppression GA is pretty close.

I am impressed by the number of people who are Republican who refuse to hold their nose and vote for Hershel Walker. I think the lack of Hershel Walker yard signs was pretty telling.

So we go from Warnock winning by a landslide and Stacey stands a chance vs Kemp in the summer to “well they didn’t win by that much and it’s all because of voter suppression”…. I guess we are in the business of moral victories until we are sweating our butts off this time of the year in 2024.

In Georgia's case it could. For all intents and purposes they are a red state, yet the big national elections where screeching yahoos are on the ballot (with the exception of Marge) they're voting for the Dems.

Dude, the Ds in your polls are collectively outperforming Biden, who won the popular vote by 4.5 points! I don't know if this is a case where you don't want to throw your editors under the bus, but these are good polls for Ds and the narrative in the story doesn't match the data.

I had someone post on Facebook they voted to "restore sanity". They live in Alabama. Should I tell them not one single race was in doubt and the results didn't change the balance of power one iota? Or just let them revel in their virtue signaling?
