What's our point guard situation going to be with/without Philon? Will we be looking for another PG? Can any of the guards other than Holloway play point at a high level? We seem to be in pretty good shape with bigs and shooting guards. PG and the 3/4 are still pending decisions, etc..

Until we know what Philon will do, that's the most important question in my mind after the recent portalees.

It would seem PG is the big question right now. IF Philon leaves, Holloway is our only player that could run point.

But, if that were to occur, I'm 100% sure we'd use the portal to find a replacement for Philon.

I'm not sure we have a proven guy right now who you can give the ball to and tell them to get a bucket or make a play offensively when you really need it. And that includes Philon if he were to come back. Maybe one of the guys on the roster currently will develop into that but no one's really shown it. I would feel a whole lot better if they went out in the portal and got a guy like that. I'm not sure how many are left.

Have we really had that guy since Brandon Miller?

Imagine if Miller would have been on this team???

I think that's CNO's next big thing. Have a roster like this years that's solid and deep top to bottom but to find that one special guy like a Miller or Flagg.

We might only wonder if we could have pulled/paid AJ Dybantsa in this class???

I'm not saying it'll take the kind of player to win it all. It didn't work with Duke/Flagg this year, but it should make it easier.

Concerning that kind of player in the portal, I'm with you: "who's out there with that kind of game???"

Is a dominant player that fits our system even in the portal? Don’t know if we have money to get a $5 mil type guy and the 5 star guard we are after and keep Philon. Hate this day and age of sports other than fact that we have CNO.

At this point no. If Philon leaves and we don’t pick up anyone else we might struggle handling the ball with TOs. Holloway would probably be the best ball handler and relying on freshman is tough. I would bet we add at least one to help either way at this point.
