One of the low key most potentially dangerous matchups here is at USCe

Barely beat them at home last year and Sellers looked dangerous in their final 6 games last season.

I agree. That stretch @ Missouri, Tennessee and @ USCe 3 consecutive weeks is rough. We could lose one of those plus @ UGA so a 2 loss season is my prediction. Still good enough for a playoff spot.

Two 11am games is wild. That’s 9am pacific time. Hosting Wisconsin is gonna be a draw and at Missouri should be a big game barring either or both of us completely falling off the map. ESPN having both the sec and acc shouldn’t be allowed. Abc- sec, big ten- fox, big 12- cbs, acc- nbc. ESPN cherry picks from all leagues. Like a everyone gives us 5 games of our choosing a year for elevendy billion dollars etc

I'm a bit concerned about Missouri on the road as a trap game. Yes, we should win. But we should have won easily against Vandy, OU, and Michigan last year.

After 2024's embarrassment in Nashville, the players and coaches have no doubt circled the Vandy game the week before Mizzou. And UTe, another revenge game, is the week after.

I could see Mizzou posing a bigger problem than you would think from a paper-only analysis. They return a lot, they're off the week before us, and play UMass the week before that. IOW, they have three weeks -- September 21 to October 11 -- to prep for us.

Say what you will about Eli Drinkwitz, but give him three weeks, and his team, playing at home, will be ready.

USCe could be as well, but I think people are over-emphasizing the closeness of last year's game. They recovered an onside kick to make it as close as it was. I wouldn't want to build my reputation on the chances of that repeating.

LSU is still getting preferential treatment for night games. Their first 4 games are confirmed night games with 2 others listed as night as well. 4 others are listed as FLEX that could end up being night games.
mentioning lsu night games has activated @selmaborntidefan memory banks, we will now get 3 pages of why it is a myth

I'm hopeful that someone can squawk loud enough to have the Whisky game time moved. If not, there will be multiple folks in our stadium that have heat exhaustion or stroke...
It won't be moved. There aren't many good games that day but ABC has Georgia @Tennessee scheduled for 2:30 pm CT and Florida @ LSU for 6:30 pm CT so Wisconsin-Alabama should dominate the TV ratings in that 11:00 AM slot.

Going to be an interesting season. We are no strangers to brutal schedules around here but this new staff is going to have to figure out how to keep the team on an even keel week in and week out. Cannot afford any intensity letdowns like we had last year.

Yup. CNS was the anomoly with losses coming in big games and consistently winning the "trap games." Even going back to CKD at UW, they seem to rise for the big games, but are vulnerable in games they should win (ie, 2023 vs ASU)
