Have Sportscenter on while I eat a little breakfast. They made a big deal about LSU being 4-0 in Dallas since Jerry World opened. Don't understand it. Alabama is 4-0 in that timeframe, too.

Miami was super soft and overrated. LSU is very talented but undisciplined and predictable. Just what LSU needed.... a confidence booster before they get smashed by the upper half of the SEC. They will win 7 games but no more. The annoying part is listening to these Corndogs for the next two weeks.

Auburn played a real team and LSU played a team everyone thought was a good team but is just another ACC cupcake. I would rather be in Auburn’s position right now than LSU’s.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.
I will agree with Dub. My son was at the Auburn game Saturday. His take away was pretty much along my thinking. Once the Washington d-line got their “feet under them” they stifled the Auburn o-line. Center and tackles are weak points.
Tackles were fine. PFF graded LT Prince Tega as the best OL out there.

UDub was really spacing out the ends, trying to prevent our stock sweeps and such from being effective. Worked pretty well. Solution is to run inside. Unfortunately, Kim couldn’t get any real push with the exception of a few plays. I expect that to change with Brahms. He’s a mauler.
Front seven on the auburn defense is stout. Weakness is where is has been the last many years: the secondary and coverage.
Think the secondary played fine overall, especially Iggy. His defense of those fades to the corner of the EZ belied his inexperience at the position.

Everyone tackled well in the open field.

It's funny. I was worried about the secondary, but am much less concerned today. They were in position and got beat on several plays by great throws and circus catches. We got hurt by some penalties, but UW was putting a ton of pressure on our guys. Iggy was the most impressive IMO.

Browning was superb with the back shoulder and fade route. It's hard to stop when it's on the money like that so many times. Defender ends up 5 yards past the WR a lot of times. His receivers have great hands, but when we switched from man to zone, the only thing that moved them forward were scrambles and penalties.

I'm trying to watch some of the replay of this game this morning, but like with most college football games these days, I can't watch due to all of the stupid replays that take forever. Targeting and instant replay have ruined the game for me. I can watch Bama play just because of my love for Bama, but other games I have to watch here and there and be able to move around and eat and talk and hang out since I can't stand watching any of the replays and hearing how great targeting is. I really miss it because I used to watch a lot of games from beginning to end.

Auburn's talent matches up with LSU's, the difference is in the coaching, and even Gus is light years ahead of Orgeron. Burrows looked pretty good against Miami but he ain't no Jake Browning. I like Auburn 27-17.

Burrows appears to be the textbook "game manager". His stats are underwhelming and he's not going to carry the team to a win. Thats all well and good until you start playing elite defenses.

I guarantee you Auburn stacks the box and shuts down the run to force Burrows to beat them. I think it’s going to be reminiscent of the 2014 game down there.

I watched the replay this morning. Miami may have been overhyped a bit as the 5th best team in the preseason poll but I don't think they are as bad as LSU made them look. I think this is a good team folks and Barney will have their hands full. In fact, I'll take the corndogs to win outright.

Okay 35-10 ;)

I just think revenge, JHS, and an overinflated confidence from a bad team is going to have a significant part in the game. I think LSU is more talented but they are not as disciplined. Burrow should’ve had two pick sixes last night, and Auburn is going to shut the run down to force him to beat them. I think Auburn is going to have a short field all night.
Auburn may win, but I don't think it will be anywhere near that kind of score. Their O line would have to improve like 200% in 2 weeks to do that.

Auburns defense is going to make it very difficult for LSU's offense to score. LSU's offensive line will struggle.

If Gus takes the handcuffs off of Stidham then it’s a route.

if Steele loads the box then it’s a route.

I think the reasons Miami and Washington didn’t win were that they didn’t have qbs that had any consistency. Miami’s qb is Jalen Hurts 2.0. Stidham is more like tua than Jalen. . He will torch that defense.

Auburn ain’t losing on the plains vs a qb like joe Burrows. Especially to a Coach Oeaux team.
