Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

That is not the case at all. Most of the reports are saying that CK is down to either AU or Bama.I have this gut feeling that the Barn has blown it for both Alabama schools. We will see.
Whats the latest my friend.andrew bone is wrong
Are you claiming that "the reports" are more credible than my gut? That's verging on heresy. That is not the case at all. Most of the reports are saying that CK is down to either AU or Bama.
glad to hear that. Take your time, let things calm down. BTW, you guys may want to limit communication to family member only and close the door to media for a while, at least you can get some sleep that way.andrew bone is wrong
It's possible that they manipulated things to get him to commit, then when he realized what had happened he hits the abort button on the drama and goes across the country. I'm not saying I'm positive this will happen. How could the cow college blow it for us?
Well I, for one, would much rather him attend Iowa if he choses no to roll w/the Tide. :BigA:1. If this is true, does it taint Cyrus' eligibility in any way?
2. If the answer is yes, then should we back off--we know the NCAA will let Auburn skate on this crap, but we also know they'll screw us at every turn.
I'm wondering if the best resolution here is for CK to stay away from the state of Alabama.
Andrew Bone just tweeted decision between Bama and auburn coming tomorrow - stay tuned.
I'll ask the obvious then, what is Bone wrong about?andrew bone is wrong
I would say no to this based on the $cam ruling because I doubt Cyrus has any knowledge of potential wrong doings by his coach. If ever there was a kid who could be that naive and not know that his coach was trying to take advantage of him, it would seem to be Cyrus. He does not strike me as being a cynical type person who would question his coach's motives. He seems to be very trusting, especially of his coach.1. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let this happen.... and you have to think at some point, someone is going to start leaving and talking.
You know, I've been thinking about that one lately. It WOULD be a lot of pressure on a recruit if a school were to say something like "if you don't sign with us, we can't guarantee you that anything underhanded about your recruitment might not come out... and if it does, you know the NCAA could declare you ineligible."1. If this is true, does it taint Cyrus' eligibility in any way?2. Mysentiments exactly. 99% of the teams out there would be ecstatic about our class as it is.I'm going to comment one last time on this situation then I'm done with it.
As I've said many times, I'd love to have him from a talent/ team need standpoint but now I'm just ready for this to be over and move on. It has turned into a soap opera. And sadly, I think, it has overshadowed the young men that DID sign LOI's for us yesterday and I think that's unfortunate for them. We should be talking about THEM, instead we're focusing on someone that did NOT sign with us. Not me anymore--we've got a great class, a class that's going to win a lot of ball games for us over the next 3-4 yrs, and I look forward to seeing Arie Kouandjio being a part of that.
I don't know for sure what is going on exactly, but I agree it does smell a little fishy. I wonder what the talks with Saban and staff have been like with Cyrus because it sounds like Chizik and company have had numerous conversations with him. One can only wonder!Things are starting to unravel in this thing IMO... and it seems that clarity is coming regarding how the Barn got into the mix with such a short time before NSD. Any way you cut it, the way AU has recruited this kid is a disgrace - trying to cut the family out of the decision and having folks in their corner come out publicly and say he "owes" them an explanation for his actions. With all of the promises that I'm sure have been made to each one of their incoming OL, I'm wondering what every OL already on campus is thinking... and you have to think at some point, someone is going to start leaving and talking.
