My uncle played in that game for Wichita State. He later went to play in the USFL for the Oklahoma Outlaws and Chicago Blitz. He is so proud of playing in that game against Bama.
It's truly a small world.

I think Alabama won 38-0. That QB's name was Prince McJunkins.

Did you play baseball at Wichita State? I remember those great teams with Phil Stephenson. Man could they hit the baseball.

My first ever Bama game was the 1985 Iron Bowl! I was 12 years old and went with my aunt who is a huge Auburn fan. The first thing I did when I got to the stadium was buy a Bama flag. The entire game I waved that flag to the disgust of all the AU fans sitting in our area. We were in the corner opposite of the direction the game winning FG was heading. I watch as the Bama fans errupted with excitement as the football sailed through the uprights on the far end of the field. Needless to say, atleast one of us had a great time!!

I'm told it was UGA in '73 but I was only 3 and have no memory of it.

The first game I went to on my own was '87 Bama v. Florida at Legion Field. Got to watch a certain #22 run all over us that afternoon.

My freshman year of 1990. Opening game at Legion Field. I remember reading in the Crimson White that week about some hotshot qb for USM that might play although he was nursing an injury. Given that I thought nothing of USM and couldn't even pronounce the qb's name, I didn't worry too much. Needless to say, the loss to Brett Favre's Golden Eagles was disappointing.
Also dispointing was my second game. The loss to Steve Spurrier's Gators. However, things picked up after the opening three losses that year and I had a great five years there including four UT wins, four AU wins, a 31 game unbeaten streak, and a national championship.

A Vandy at Legion Field game at some point in the 90s...I want to say 1997 during my sister's freshman year. I actually went to a few games in Auburn before ever stepping foot in either BDS or Legion Field (perks of being in the Cub Scouts nearby Auburn when they were on the quarter system and wanting to fill the stands up before students got in town in mid-September, also being in the Prattville band in the same situation before their band could march--I refused to play their proprietary stand or field songs though, instead a few trumpeters and I got a hold of "Yea Alabama" and played that instead ;)).

1967 season opener vs FSU at Legion Field, night game. Stabler at QB. Bama had to fight for its life to tie the game. Something like 37-37. Seems like we were not very good for the next few years after that so i blame myself for jinxing the team.
Dennis Homan was one other name i remember well from then.

FSU had a guy named Ron Sellers i think (receiver) who killed us that night.

I think it was a 1983 game against Southern Miss at Legion Field. I was 10 years old. I dont remember the score but I am sure we won. The only thing I remember about the game was that Louis Lipps was a receiver and kick returner for Southern Miss. Its funny how some things stick in your mind.

That's the game Coach Bryant was filmed on the sideline yelling..."What in the hell is going on?"
And Stabler didn't start because he was coming off suspension. But he did open up the second half at QB.

Bama was up something like 35-0 and called off the dogs at the half.Didn't play baseball at WSU but seen plenty of those good teams you speak of.

My first 'Bama game was in 1989 at Jackson, Mississippi's Veterans Memorial Stadium versus Ole Miss.

My first game as a student was the 2001 opener against UCLA, in Tuscaloosa.
