Outside that locker room two years ago, Moore wouldn't stop holding himself accountable, wouldn't stop insisting he should've done more that day -- that season. He shook his head, and bit his lip, and insisted the next time he failed as a leader, the next time he lost, it could cost the United States of America the lives of soldiers on his watch.

I had never even watched the Army-Navy game until I was in the Army, in Mogadishu, Somalia in 1993. It was as they say a chance for the troops to cheer for something. Our CSM brought in a huge screen TV. And made us all watch it. That was the year Navy drove to the Army 5 to kick a game winning FG. The Navy true freshman trotted out and missed an extra point! Army won, and I was hooked.

I never miss it now.

So I have one thing to say.

GO ARMY, BEAT NAVY!

Go Army, Beat Navy!

RTinGA,

I was a Plebe (freshman) that year at West Point and I was in the stands that day. That game happened to be one of the most exciting games of my life. In my four years at the Academy, we were 4-0 against Navy and every single one of them were nail biters.

1993: Army 16 - Navy 14
1994: Army 22 - Navy 20
1995: Army 14 - Navy 13
1996: Army 28 - Navy 24 (A Blowout!)

Ahhhh...Memories!

Go Army, Beat Navy!!

college football fans,

i would urge you to see a game at west point and/ or annapolis! i had been to annapolis a few years ago and was GREATLY impressed! and had a great time!
just last month i got the chance to see army-air force at west point.(i even got 2 Roll Tides!) it was an unforgetable experience! ranks right up with any of my trips to see the Tide!
i'll root for both this weekend and hope for a good game but in the end (and being from maryland) i'll have to say GO NAVY!
Roll Tide!

This years game will mean more to me than ever before. My baby sister, who is 32, will graduate from the United States Army on Dec. 10th from Ft. Jackson, SC. I'm so proud of her for making a decision like this at that age. She knows the chance of her being sent overseas is great, but she said will do her job as best as she can. As a brother stuck in the middle of two sisters, I thought I would be the protector. She joined for one reason; to protect me and everyone else. She's out done me BIG. So, this year, I chose Army to win. But, I'm proud of all our military. GO ARMY AND ROLL TIDE!!!!!
