I do think that FSU needs to enroll him in some Communication Skills class. He does need to communicate his ideas more effectively.
Did he learn anything at Hueytown H. S.?

Is he just majoring in football class at FSU until he can get drafted?

SCam is very effective in communicating in interviews. Did he learn that at home, at Florida, Blinn or the Barn.

Oh! The thread topic. I thought he looked like a freshman QB last night for most of the game. He did come through during that last drive.
So, he needs to get better at running their offense and in articulating his ideas. JMHO!

i'm not much of a winston fan; the auburn defense punched him in the face and really had him rocked way back on his heels in the first half. however, i'll give him this: he hung in there, regained confidence, and ended up with a pretty fair showing.

I thought early in the game that he demonstrated how scary it is to have a freshman QB in a championship game. He did well the final drive but I did not see anything to indicate that he is the best college football player in the country. Maybe the receivers make the QB in this instance. If he had faced SEC (even in a down year like this past season) competition all season he would not have had the numbers to support the Heisman.

Jaboo is a RS Freshman and played like it against decent competition. That shows how much a farce the Heisman Trophy sham really is - popularity contest.

He will improve with more experience but that will be hard to come by in such a crappy conference. With the D Line we are going to field next year he will want to avoid us the next few seasons for sure.

In all honesty, he reminded me of Byron Leftwich when he was with the Jaguars: long wind-up, slow to read the field, not mobile enough to avoid the rush, hesitant to take the available checkdown, and drops eyes too often if the rush starts getting to him. I know he's only a redshirt freshman and all, but if he's going to go pro next year, he's got a LOT of work ahead.

If it wasn't for the Barn's garbage secondary, I don't think FSU wins that game.

i was very impressed. with the game on the line, in the biggest game of the year he came through like a champ with some great throws. You want your QB to play his best when the game is on the line and he did that. He showed no fear and the other players fed off that. there was no panic at all. He's the best QB in college football as a RS freshman.

Agreed. Very underwhelmed on the field; really nauseated w/ his comments & attitude, starting with his thug-like entrance as they got off the bus. Cocky & all-about-me.
Jimbo Fisher seems to think so as well. He sent him to the locker room during their last home practice before leaving for California
