Can’t blame the jury, but anyone with sense should be asking questions about a society that allows and promotes this type of irresponsible behavior by multiple people that caused the deaths of multiple people and especially the glorification of a child that committed these acts.

I have 2 concerns though.

1. There are a lot of absolute idiots out there that do not understand the nuances of self-defense and the how and why of this verdict. Afraid this could encourage more people to think vigilantism is OK.

2. I hope Rittenhouse does not get sucked into the seductive alt-right community that is making a hard sell for him right now.

Yes, so what.

Not really the time or place to go down the 'firearm definition rabbit-hole' but Rittenhouse didn't carry an 'assault rifle', which by definition is a rifle capable of automatic fire.

It was a small-caliber sporting rifle.
