Exactly. This has been festering for a long time and yesterday was just the culmination of it all. I lost all respect for Holmgren a long time ago, but what he did to Shaun yesterday was insulting and indefensible. I look forward to the day he get's fired.TIDE-HSV said:on your first post. Now, SA's statement didn't happen in a vacuum. He has suffered under Holmgren's mis-management for years now. This is just the final chapter in a long, sorry saga. Holmgren saw his chance and stuck it to him and in as sadistic a fashion as he could. Remember - only 19 carries for your star back, going for the title. Yeah, real supportive. I hope SA announces he's shaken the Seattle mud off his feet and I think that's what'll happen. I can't imagine his working with Holmgren for another season. We see now what kind of coach Holmgren is without a Favre. Let's see what kind of coach he is without an Alexander...
Holmgren has two issues w/ Shaun (IMO):1FitToBeTide said:have a grasp on exactly WHY Holmgren has a problem with Shaun? perhaps something overt, quoted, or otherwise documented.
The faithful who know the caliber of person he(Shaun) is have a hard time believing ANYONE could have a legitimate beef with Shaun.
What's the deal?
:biga2:
No but there is a "me" and there is an "I" in win which is what Shaun does. His exploits on the field has only been overshadowed by what he has done off of the field. I have two Jerseys that I wear one is Jay Barker and one is Shaun Alexander. Two players who won on and off the field, and the kind of person I hope my kids look up to.Displaced Bama Fan said:Kind of a selfish comment if you ask me. There is no "I" in team last time I checked.
