The best my old quasi-hometown of StarkVegas ever had, by my measure - and I've seen any number of the bad ones to the good in W-L record and other more valued aspects of life itsownself. The Pirate was a nonpareil. Doggone it--

The guy had a pet raccoon named Bilbo Baggins.

And I love his viking axe comment.

"Because if you think about it carefully, statistically, you’re more likely to shoot yourself, a loved one or a relative," he said. "There’s this (absurd) notion of ‘If you come in my house I’ll shoot ya.’ I do have a Viking axe by the bed if I need to whack someone. … My wife bought me a Viking axe – the axe side curls down so you can grab the adversary around the neck and you can use it to climb walls, as a grappling hook."

Also keep in your prayers his football family: his players and his coaches and staff. The coaches and staff not only have to deal with the loss, their futures are now uncertain under the next coach.
For what little part I can do, I will be cheering for them all on Jan 2 in their Bowl Game vs Illinois.

They have a chance to win 9 games including winning the Egg Bowl and a Bowl game and finishing ranked all for only the 3rd time in over 20 years.

I hope they can attain all of that in tribute to Coach Leach.

My guess is even the Illinois fans will be cheering for them, maybe not publicly (but some prob will) but in their hearts. This guy was truly beloved on a national level and even the hardest of football hearts cannot help but pull for the Miss St fanbase and team in the bowl game.

Should also mention his master's from the Sports Academy in Daphne. His story about crawfish at the Florabama while he was at school there is fantastic too.

RIP. So sad. I really liked watching him on the sidelines and listening to his interviews. He was a very smart, witty guy. I pray his family, friends, and his football family will be comforted by the Lord during this difficult time.
