I am about to buy a dog. I am hoping some of you guys can help me come up with some good names that are Alabama related. The only names that have been ruled out are Bryant and Bear. Those names are not an option because I intend on using them for my future son(whenever I decide to have one). Anyways any help would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats on getting a dog, first and foremost. My in-laws, before they were my in-laws and were my soon-to-be in-laws, had a small dog. It was a weenie dog. They simply named it Bama. Sweet dog too.

We have had two dogs named after Alabama. The first was a black lab named BAMA and now we have a border collie and we call her Belle, but her actual registered name is Alabama Belle!

One of the first things we taught her was to bark Roll Tide Roll! Also, we bought and orange tiger toy and we call it Auburn and we just say "Belle, kill Auburn" and she tears that crap out of it...it's too funny!

That is really funny. I'm gonna get me a dog one day and buy it an orange tiger and do that. What a nifty idea. Hillarious man. Good story.

Well if the dog's a girl Ally is a good name, and for males Stallings, Bama, and you could also use your favorite player of All-time too, i.e. Namath, Musso, Barker(how funny would that be!!), Shula, Ozzie, Palmer, and I could go on!!!!!

i'd lean toward some of the more creatively named players we've had.

triandos
tersheikiya (call him "juke")
deuce
biscuit
joe willie
moose
santonio
britt
teague
brodie
humphrey

the list goes on and on...

if you get a border collie, you could name it Lassic!

For those of you wondering what type of dog that I will be getting......

It is what is called an Olde English Bulldoge
I want a male.

Names that I am currently considering...In no particular order..

Ulysses, Chief, Zepplin, Tuff, Boss, Tank (for one of our former punters), Diesel, And many of the other names mentioned on this board.

I am kind of looking for something intimidating but with a Bama Flavor. If you know what I mean....so please keep 'em coming.

I wanted to name my son after Coach Bryant, so my wife loved the name Bruin (means bear) and there you have it my son's name.... Bruin

I know that is off the dog subject, but it's in the name category, lol
