He looks to be quite good...and motivated to coach. Did any of us have him on our radar? I don't think so...
It's why we post on a message board and CNS is HC at Alabama. He looks to be quite good...and motivated to coach. Did any of us have him on our radar? I don't think so...
Thanks for the info. Did not know that. Went back to the page and they have already corrected it but in the history it gave this reason: article falsely claimed that Schumann is currently working as the DC at Alabama. This may become true but is not confirmed.Wikipedia..... like its' really a good source to use...
The only thing I’ve read is one line in one article that says (paraphrasing) “…it’s rumored that Alabama offered Golding $2mil to stay”Provide the link that Saban offered him $2 million to stay. Second, both coordinators needed to go. If you can't see that the defense never made any improvement from goldings first year to this year, despite the talent, you are willingly ignorant of the fact that PG was not a good DC.
The rumored raise doesn't pass the sniff test. Leave Alabama and a 2 million dollar raise to coach at mid-SEC-level OM???The only thing I’ve read is one line in one article that says (paraphrasing) “…it’s rumored that Alabama offered Golding $2mil to stay”
…everyone who has been repeating this as a source is conveniently leaving out the word “rumored” and presenting it as “fact”
NOT IAnybody on here REALLY think if Bama offered $2 mil to popeyed Pete to stay that Ole Siss would have paid him more?
Wasn't that how Golding's defenses played at UTSA?The thing with Armstrong....his defenses at Southern Miss played with attitude. They got after teams. Aggressive and mean.
That alone is a good sign.
Cole Cubelic seems to think very highly of him for whatever that's worthHe looks to be quite good...and motivated to coach. Did any of us have him on our radar? I don't think so...
It’s almost as if Saban has a grasp on the college coaching landscape than we do.He looks to be quite good...and motivated to coach. Did any of us have him on our radar? I don't think so...
Or anytime we hired a guy with no prior head coaching experience. No thank you. The last time we did that(promoted a DC to HC), it didn’t turn out so good.
Heard the exact same words regarding Gol*ing. Until Armstrong proves it at a big school, we just don’t know how good he will be. I’m excited about the hire but we should pump our brakes a bit.Cole Cubelic seems to think very highly of him for whatever that's worth
also, we don't know his exact role yet so lets just wait and see.Heard the exact same words regarding Gol*ing. Until Armstrong proves it at a big school, we just don’t know how good he will be. I’m excited about the hire but we should pump our brakes a bit.
Yea I largely agree. But I doubt he's our DC.Heard the exact same words regarding Gol*ing. Until Armstrong proves it at a big school, we just don’t know how good he will be. I’m excited about the hire but we should pump our brakes a bit.
This guy isn't the DC, he's coming in as a position coach. I'm very optimistic about who the DC could be though....waiting game now.Heard the exact same words regarding Gol*ing. Until Armstrong proves it at a big school, we just don’t know how good he will be. I’m excited about the hire but we should pump our brakes a bit.
Yep, and honestly it's barely an article. It's more of a blog and the writer clearly doesn't have much of an understanding of things based on the other things he has written. The only thing I’ve read is one line in one article that says (paraphrasing) “…it’s rumored that Alabama offered Golding $2mil to stay”
…everyone who has been repeating this as a source is conveniently leaving out the word “rumored” and presenting it as “fact”
I read he was coming in as an analyst. This guy isn't the DC, he's coming in as a position coach. I'm very optimistic about who the DC could be though....waiting game now.
