We lost to Vandy, and it wasn’t even Milroe’s fault. What planet is this?

I mean. He did throw a pick 6 and fumbled at the absolute worst possible time that put us down 2 scores again.

But crazily enough it was the defense that really screwed the pooch.

To be clear, I don’t even really put the pick 6 and the fumble fully on Milroe. Unlucky tip on the one, terrible OL blocking on the other. But would have been real nice to not have those turnovers, lol.

this week. Now we learn what kind of coach DeBoer is and what kind of coaching staff he has by the way they handle this week and the rest of the season.

But for me, the better run South Carolina out of the stadium next week.

That is my only knock on CKD. He is so much coach speak man. Cannot watch any of his shows. Man, Nick would have you compelled at any moment in front of the mike.

This is meaningless in terms of program effectiveness. He sounds like Brady or Woods: respectful, kind, almost engaging but says little.

This was a stunning loss which confirmed some fears and did not alleviate others. It is also making clear some trends that are part of a Kalen DeBoer approach to football that is different (e.g., this is a passing offense which removes the focus from the running game - there are ramifications both good and bad) than anyone alive can remember.

The worst loss I've ever seen is the 2013 Aub game. And it's not even close.

Alabama is a week removed from beating UGA. Don’t read too much into this loss. A

Vanderbilt. No hangover should result in a loss to Vanderbilt. This kind of loss deserves an apology tour to the entire fanbase. I never want to hear one of these players say some self promoting hype garbage ever again.

Yep. I know people are bringing up 99 LA Tech, 00 UCF, 00 USM, 03 NIU, and 07 ULM

but this way worse, those teams were not the favorites to win the National Title, the program was not in the shape it is now, that it was then. Those teams did not have the best roster in the country with a QB that was getting Heisman/#1 pick talk before today. We’re at a point now where we shouldn’t lose to a Vandy, shouldn’t even be in a dogfight with a Vandy but here we are, and look I know this is Vandy’s best team since the Franklin days but they also lost to Georgia State, who’s one of the worst FBS programs.

All things considered that was without a doubt the most embarrassing loss in the history of the program.

But on the bright side, it’s a new world in CFB, one loss doesn’t knock you out of the title picture but we’ll learn if the team has some 2015 in them or if the heart and soul of the team left with Saban and we bottom out like FSU has this year.

To be frank, our coaches have probably never seen that kind of offense before thus not really knowing how to defend it. Thus just thought who cares we will out talent and out score them.

If we would have played man assignment football rather than gap assignment football with better tackling we would have been okay today. But we retreaded the same defensive gamplan from prior weeks.

I don't know if Wommack needs a pink slip but he sure didn't earn his huge paycheck this week. Poor prep and worse half time adjustments. Not the results of a top 1% football program. Big big big disappointment.I exppect some sort of explanation but doubt we get one.

But losses don’t eliminate you from title contention like they once did

Not sure but... I don't think Vandy had enough fans in attendance to tear down the goal posts.

Announcers said it was about 70% Bama fans. Was basically a home game.

Milroe was stunned at the end of the game, as we're many other players. They simply could not believe that Alabama had lost the game. Well, that is exactly why this team lost the game.

Time to grow up. Figure it out. You are not good enough to win just because you show up in Crimson jerseys. You have to earn it. Believe that, get back to work, stop thinking that you have arrived, or there will be more losses.

It been a problem with this program the last~2-4 years. An attitude/maturity/leadership problem. IMO.

We’ve played the worst 6 quarters of defensive football in Alabama history under his direction. PERIOD!!!!!!!
