They really do. I think CNS rates our OL a little different than most, as he almost always takes several 3* guys every year and 1 4*-5*. I don't think it is from a lack of interest, I think it is the staffs personal ranking system. We got Latua from all the way in Cali
I have read a few reports that he may be the most under-rated member of this signing class.

I think Aaron Douglas has got to be in that line-up somewhere. As glad as I am about Cyrus signing with Bama, it remains to be seen whether or not he can beat out Douglas for a starting spot
It's hard for him to beat out a former freshmen all-american from SEC. However, if he can, I would be happy to see AD line up as TE again. IF both AD and Vogler play TE for us, along with Cyrus and Fluker at OT, we can run all day long.

If Cyrus wins the starting job at LT & AD does move to TE..That could be one of the most dominate O-Line ever at Bama..And there's been a lot of great O-Lines at Bama..I can't wait to se what kinda O-Line Coach Stoutland puts together..The Beef & Talent is there too makes his job easier..

I feel like a little girl who just got the pony she's been asking for. I loved reading the first 2 pages of this thread where it was "Not sure" "Can't Confirm" "Looks real" "I'm skeptical"... then BOOM! Lovin' it!

Also...
The letter has been signed and faxed, let's put that to rest. T-Town is our new home now!
Can someone please tell me Magnanga's secret identity now?! I don't do facebook so I couldn't take him up on his FB request to everyone... I didn't PM him or others in order not to bother a Kouandjio family member.

Magnanga, now that Cyrus is in the house, I will be hounding you day and night. ;)

I don't think it's secret. My understanding is he's an immediate family member.

I suppose there is a fine line between hounding people and showing admiration. I always felt like you should treat people, regardless of who they are, like ordinary people. No better, or worse. In my experience celebrities tend to respond well to treating them ordinarily. However, I think we've seen through this and some of Cyrus' comments that showing your admiration (if done properly) is not a bad thing. I think the whole thing also reminds us to keep in mind that we never know who might be reading this, so flippant message board remarks can be seen by the people you are talking about. If you've ever read people who don't know you, and you've never interacted with, discussing you, it's a weird feeling and people take even moderate accolades as free reign to make personal comments.

Then again, what do I know? I dodge calls from an artist that I've literally heard on TV every day for the past week. Anyway, I'm glad to have Arie, Cyrus, and Mike as part of the Crimson Tide family. I hope they enjoy the environment and I believe the Kouandjios will leave their mark on Alabama history. I also hope they don't become overwhelmed by our enthusiasm...

This is an article from the end of '09 but it gives a little insight to the K brothers and their family. SIAP

Brothers Kouandjio clear the path for top-ranked DeMatha - washingtonpost.com

The boys' scholarship offers are a pleasant surprise for their father, Jean-Claude, who along with Georgette moved their family from Cameroon 11 years ago so that their children could receive a better education. While their middle two (of four) children have excelled on the football field, Jean-Claude does not understand the sport and has been to just one game: the Stags' 42-21 loss at Good Counsel on Oct. 2, 2008.
Welcome aboard Cyrus. ROLL TIDE!!!!

Wow... Just wow at the vitriol being spewed by AU fans.

I'm not linking to it or posting screen caps, but they have really been showing their true colors. I know we had our own little bru-hah-hah here last week, but my goodness that was like a kindergarten kerfuffle compared to what I've been seeing this morning.

I am delighted that this outstanding young man is going to play for Alabama, but if he had decided that Auburn was the place for him, I would have been disappointed but no way would I spew such nastiness.

Not only is Cyrus going to play for a great program, with a great coaching staff and the greatest fans on earth, he is also going to get a great education and fulfill the intentions of his mother and father, who moved to the United States so that their children could get that great education.

I think it would be better to keep his name under wraps..We know his info is legit if he post anything..That's all I need to know..And hopefully he'll post inside info of how things are going for both Aries & Cyrus..
