Re: Please somebody shoot me. In the face.

1992 national championship game my girlfriend, now wife, was complaining that she didn't want to watch college football; she wanted to go out and have fun. My response was sit down and be quite or leave. We watched the game and all has worked out well since.

So stop whining to us and grow a set!

I once asked an elder couple who had been married over 50 years what their secret was. He said "She has her sewing room and I have the garage."

If she isn't into football, leave her alone. Separate yourselves for a day and let her go out with her girlfriends. You get together with some of your buddies and watch some games.

Hah....Funny this topic is here...a guy in the office yesterday said he saw a bumper sticker that said (I'll do the PG version) "If it has boobs or wheels, it's going to give you problems". :)

I just ask my wife, " Where would you prefer I watch the game? She usually responds with, " Be careful driving home, call me if you need a ride." I know that Earle like this system becasue I am not on here "drinking while posting.":biggrin2:

I feel your pain. I never watch a football game with anyone...not even my husband. He talks too much during the game.

I would rather have the Glee problem. My girlfriend has roped me into going to a relative of her's wedding at 5pm today... 70 miles from home...

Being in Louisiana, I'm curious to see how few show up with the LSU/Tenn game on.

Just reciprocate next time she makes you watch Glee or something you don't like. "Glee is stupid!" and "Has anybody told you that Glee is boring" etc.

To the OP: That would annoy the crap out of me, too! As an avid Bama fan (and football in general), it makes me so mad when girls/women act stupid about sports.

Thanks to TideFans, I know more about Alabama football than most men I know. I can spout off info about recruits and players, other teams, Bama history, etc. and I think my husband thinks it is pretty hot! I can also do all of this while making Buffalo Chicken Dip, home made salsa and guacamole, toffee crackers and bacon, ranch, cheese dip! I am usually helping a child get his Bama gear on, too.

If your woman is doing any less than the above, I say TRADE HER IN!! haha!

Roll Tide!!

I like football more than most guys I know. But I could watch Glee and get my hair and nails done, so I consider myself well rounded.:)

Watch the game on your own if you have to. My husband already knows not to mess with the channel, and I'm trying to teach my little boy that too (he's 4).

Quit complaining... My husband tells me all the time that football is stupid and a waste of time. I have to deal with it every Saturday.

There is hope out there for the OP. As you see there are many wonderful ladies posting on here who love football as much as the guys and from personal experience one of my girlfriend's best friends is getting married today at 7. She told me that Bama football was more important and that I should watch instead. She is the best.

Hehe. I'm sorry. I probably like sports more so than some guys so I cannot testify to that feeling. I'd watch football everyday if it were on.
Have to agree with you there. My son won Senior Bowl tickets and asked me to go instead of his dad.

Mrs. Uaintn is currently driving me to Tuscaloosa for the game so I can post on Tidefans. She probably can't tell you the difference in mike and will lbs or name the o-line, but she knows the skill players and asked last night if we could wait to leave today till the espn picks were done. I've been married a long time. If you are serious about this young woman you better sort this important stuff out now. You've got lots of time to worry about minor details like whether to have kids, which church to attend, etc. But sort the big stuff now.
