We told out starting QB to leave after last season because he wanted to be guaranteed the starting job. We had a starter on our O Line get benched last year for complaining about NIL inequity on the team. Yes - this is killing every top team in one way or another.
NIL-Portal is working beautifly if your intent is to destroy college football -athletics.

But Day got it right - boot 'em or bench 'em - you cannot give them control.

Dig that. Obviously, there are some things Milroe can do and decision making is not one of them. So, the plan needs to be:

1 - emphasize running the flipping football
2 - design high percentage passing plays with one hot route
3 - increase designed runs by the QB since he is a runner

I dunno, just think we are putting too much thinking into the gameplan for a running QB. We can see from the cheap seats that he cannot read the field so don't ask him to do it.
That cannot work. Offensive pass plays are designed to put defenders in conflict. You have to be able to read that to know who will be open and why. It is not possible at this level to win with a QB who cannot do that without an incredible defense.

The bigger question is are they asking JM to have full field progressions or are they asking him to read it based on the conflicted defender. Full field progression for JM would be like asking me to build a SpaceX rocket ship from scrap metal.

Maybe, maybe not but that is the reason they are making the big bucks. Need to do something.

I hate this has drifted to wondering about CKD's coaching chops. Y'all, look at his record. If you know how to coach football it'll work in South Dakota, Cali and Alabama!!!

This is not about the X's and O's it's about the Jimmies and Joes and right now we have a group of players who don't get what it takes to play winning football.
The more I think about it, the more I believe this is correct. Will CKD have to find his way in the SEC and realize every week it’s a dog fight? Absolutely.

But I mean the guy didn’t just forget how to coach football. It’s true he inherited a lot of talent on this roster, but he also inherited a lot of locker room issues as well.

He also has a lot of “talent” on offense that doesn’t necessarily fit what he wants to do on offense. The most glaring is obviously Lank.

The same is true for CKW on defense….and it’s made worse by injuries at the moment at literally the one position we can’t afford it.

I got no reason to believe CKD won’t get things rolling sooner rather than later. He just needs time and we need to allow him that.

Roll Tide guys 🐘

So secrant visitors how much do we put stock in what crimsonboz says? He mentions 6 players as a cancer to the locker room and said the mutiny in the USF game was 100 percent real. That booker is a milroe or nothing guy. I’ve seen his scrimmage post and they line up well with others but other than that I dont know much about him.

I believe everything he said. He's been right a whole lot of times about things.

If Alabama does not have a quarterback better than Milroe that is a travesty. Saban was caught one year without a good quarterback when Sims was drafted to do the job. He did great under the circumstances. Saban believed you could win with a game managing quarterback and did in the early years. Actually A. J. McCarron was better than most people thought including the coaching staff. He was under utilized his last year. There should have been a three peat with him. They did start recruiting and developing top quarterbacks and hiring good offensive coordinators. Did that stop when Sark left? Now we have an offensive guru coaching the team the quarterback problem and offensive woes should be fixed. There is a theory that good quarterbacks make good coaches. Brady and Mahomes, and a few others, may have proved that theory.

We can only pray that if Milroe is broken/hurt again CKD is prepared to switch to Simpson. All he has to do is say Milroe is too hurt to play to 100% and everyone is covered.

boz knows someone or is someone. He is constantly with the big wigs at REC events. What he usually says is correct.

Impossible to know 100% without knowing the play call, but based on what I see, most plays seem to have an early one player read.
