We should have cloned that guy, Keith Jackson, calling that game! The Best that ever was! I guess we could still do it since he's still alive. Chris Schenkel was better that what we currently have! And Lindsey Nelson, a Vol graduate who married a Bama girl, wasn't bad!

I would rank post Bryant 92, 2009, 2015, 2012, 2011. This one was big because it x factored Alabama's current dynasty by 3 years.

That George Teague play where he ran down that Miami WR and stole the ball from him was probably the greatest defensive play in College Football history.

1992 will always be my favorite too. 2009 a close second.
My wife and I went to my mom and dads house to watch the game, they had ordered BBQ so we made sandwiches before the game started. We ate again at halftime, near the end of halftime I started feeling sick to my stomach, went to the bathroom and didn't come out again until the game was nearly over. I had the worst case of food poisoning I ever had. My good little Aubie wife came in periodically to check on me to see if I was still alive. I missed one of the greatest games in Alabama football history because of a strand of meat. We still laugh about that, mom and dad and my grandparents didn't ever miss me they were so into the game.

Have had this running on my Chromecast on my office while I work this afternoon and I can say without any reservation that for Mario Cristobal this year is far better than 92 he went down with an injury in Q2 as the Canes RT (he's #72 on the left of that screenshot)

re-watching the 92 game, i can't help but wonder how much whining would be going on by the eeyores in a game thread for the first quarter and a half of the game. two interceptions and two drives stalled in the red zone

I barely remember the ones in the late 70s, and i was too young to understand the game like i do now. The Championships of my lifetime are really-1992,2009,2011,2012 and 2015

1992- This one is so memorable, i felt like i was on cloud 9 for about a month after.
Sticking it to that loudmouthed bunch from Miami was so sweet.
2009- Back on top after so long, undefeated season, great team.
2015- Best opponent ive seen us face in that situation, we took some lumps but pulled it out in exciting fashion.
2012- We played great from the first drive and left no doubt, blow out, i enjoyed watching every minute of it.
2011- It was great to get revenge, but it felt almost like an SEC championship game instead of a national spectacle. Two heavyweight defenses made for a tedious game to watch.

Watching the 1993 Sugar Bowl...Houston is a fierce fullback.
I remember going to pay my cable bill one time. I was walking out as Houston was walking in. I held the door, as I'd do for anyone, and he had to still open the other door as he was too big to fit through just 1 open door. Dude was huuuuuge in person

1978/9, strictly personal.

Graduated previous May. Went to Sugar Bowl for the classic 14-7 over Penn State.

Professor Longhair at Tipitinas / Neville Bros at Dream Palace / Sweet Emma at Preservation Hall for music, Commanders Palace and Dooky Chase for food, Crimson Tide national champions.

Very good times. :)

All our NC teams that I have followed since the 50's were different and great in their own way. I love 'em all so no way to pick a favorite. For what it's worth, the 66 team that did not win the NC (due to bias against southern teams in general, and three straight NC's in particular) was as good as any.

I was too young for the 1992 championship. So I would say 2011 and 2015 were probably my favorite teams. Then 2009...followed by 2012.

I love them all. I don't know how to pick one. The ones from the 70's were cool, 92 was just awesome because of Miami's mouth, then Coach Saban's teams have just been so physical. I guess I always love the last one.

The thing that I takeaway from the '93 Sugar Bowl is absolute demolition of an offense and Heisman winner. Defense just out-athlete'd them up front then out-thought them in the 2nd half with those two decisive interceptions.

Another thing: it is impressive how much better OL teaching has gotten in pass protection over the last few decades. You can tell that in this period that DLs had a huge upper hand on the OLs. Miami even pushed us around quite a bit but we did a much better job of creasing them in the run game.

Rewatching that broadcast today I only heard Warren Sapp's name once, that was a good O-Line
