Question: Realistically what are the chances of Cody being truly ready for LSU game?

LSU's style of running plays right into our defense's strength, even if we didn't have Cody I'd still like our chances, with him it's even better. Nobody has run up the middle with any consistent success against our defense, I don't expect that to change anytime soon.

does anyone know their rushing total minus sack yardage?
Their net gain in rushing was 57 yards. Net loss was 21 yards. However, that net loss includes TFL as well as sacks.

Stephens had 16 yards in losses, so if you assume that that is entirely sack yardage, UT would have had 41 yards net gain rushing minus sacks.

OK- This I know...Once & for all - Cody will be in the LSU game. Period.
I, for one, am tremendously relieved to hear you say that.

That aside, there's nothing to suggest that we're going into a contest with LSU that we can't win. Aside from Scott, there's not much more to their RB corps. We've seen a lot worse from more than one team and came out pretty well.

Its going to be down to focus and execution here. We've shown we can do it. If we keep it up we'll be running downhill toward Atlanta from there.

I'm very confident TC will be back, but we will still have a knock-down, drag-out on our hands with LSU. Their OL is very big and very physical. Their problems on offense are at QB and QB alone. The rest of their offense has NFL-level talent at nearly every position...

Earle and Bayou have been saying this all thread, you just have to learn to listen to what they are not saying and what they are implying. Roll Tide

With a limited ability to run on us, plus lots of pressure from our D-line, it makes this fact an even "worse" issue for LSU.

Cody may not be 100 percent or fully mobile by the LSU game but I am sure he will play. They will rub his knee down real good with some liniment, spit some tobacco on the knee, tape it up, and throw on a knee brace. ;) I will take an 80 percent Mt. Cody any day.

Agreed.

I think LSU is the only team we'll play that can match up with us physically up front (on both sides). I still think we have them out-coached and out-disciplined by miles (no pun intended:)), though.

LSU does have talent on both lines and at skill positions. But they have some big issues. Unreliable at QB, to say the least. Their secondary sucks...simply terrible. Their DL has talent, but has maybe underperformed. They can be ran on, and have...we are an elite rushing offense. They haven't been great at generating a pass rush without going with their 4 DL look or blitzing, and that 4 DE look makes it even easier to rush against them. However, I wouldn't doubt that their normal formation can rush us with the way we've blocked on passing plays.

We just matchup really well with them on most matchups. And with Cody, we can really make them suffer.

However, the speed of Holiday to the outside will be a fun thing to see how we react to it. Because I think we may see a lot of it vs Florida.
