Recruiting Weekend Master Merged Thread

From what I have heard, Rogers will announce on Tuesday that he has switched to Bama from Maryland. That would cap off a very strong DB class.

ok, quick recap along with some new info:

James Davis- huge surprise, if he wants to commit, no way we can turn him down.

Doug Worthington- if he wants to leave OSU b/c of NCAA stuff, Bama will get him.

Roy Upchurch- Bama still slight leader. Annoucement probably after visit to Arkansas 1/21. Could announce earlier, but probably not.

Colin Peek- impressed, will still take visits to Ga Tech and Duke

Chris Keys- still taking visit to LSU, but I think it's just out of courtesy.

Antonio Forbes- enjoys visit, Bama at the top. Bama has 2 spots open on DL. Whichever 2 come first, will get the spots.

Chris Rogers- heard that Sports Wrap AM 1230 reported he's making the switch to Bama. No more DBs for this class then.

This might happen in his Jr. or Sr. year. This would the years that you wouldnt want to be unable to go bowling it would seem. I just dont see anything huge on any violations by OSU coming out between now and NSD to swing him since what has come out hasn't scared him off yet. I still hope something gets him to T- town.
 
I read, were 1 of the mods posted from something they read on TI,that things might have started to swing our way on Rouse. Jsut curious if we could get a little more ,if any avilable, info on his visit.

he was a fan favorite that's for sure...all the other recruits seemed to love him. I don't think anyone's really talked to him yet. I think he was going straight to San Antonio for the all-star game.
 
Sorry...I committed the Cardinal Sin of not reading the other recruiting threads first. You guys can delete this thread if you want. I was just so happy when I read it I had to tell someone....and my wife is tired of hearing about recruiting.....WOMEN!

Is that the smeone that Jimmy Barnes is playing in? I know its been posted but when is this game?

I don't see Peek being impressed with Ga Tech just my opinion Ga Tech's campus isn't near as pretty as Alabama's their football stadium looks like a high school's and Duke may impressive some with the campus but if he want's to play FOOTBALL I think he'll choose Alabama.

Chris Rogers has decommitted from Maryland. Now, he hasn't committed to Alabama but Evangel Christian head coach Bryan Davis has said Rogers has decommitted from Maryland. Rogers has a trip planned to South Carolina next week. Don't know if he will take the visit or not. He will probably wait till the last moment to make his decision.
 
just heard that Rogers will not visit So. Car. next weekend, so it's looking good for us.

and I do believe that we have moved "slightly" ahead of FSU for Greenwood's services.

Remember, if Rogers is in, we won't take any more DBs. And as far as the DL, first 2 that come more than likely.
