Roll Call: Where is everyone from?

Born in Mobile,

Providence Hospital if its still there, still had Steamboats on the river  , raised in Grand Bay, thats on the Ala/Miss St. line. Still not exactly sure how I/we ended up here in the Tampa Bay area (across the Bay from bwdial) in '83! Something about having to be around the Mother-in-law to take care of her until...! :rolleye2: OH BWD, the BUCS will carve up the south this year!! :biga:

Born in Fairfield, went to Berry High School and graduated from Hueytown. Joined the Navy and was stationed outside of Reno-Tahoe (I love it there) area then Long Beach. Went to Cal State Fullerton and then Kennesaw State in Ga. Now live in Dallas, Ga.

:biga: Grew up in Bluff Park {Western Hoover}, moved to south florida in January 1979. Moved to northeast Georgia in 1999. Cant wait to be in Tuscaloosa September 3rd!

Born in Guntersville, AL and was raised in the tiny community of Mt. Hebron in Marshall County. I went to school at Douglas. But my mailing address would be Boaz, AL. Beautiful part of the country, if you ask me. And I've been an Alabama fan since I was old enough to know what a football was.

Camden

I was born in Mobile AL. I then moved to a little town that I refer to as God's Country. Not much goes on in small Central Alabama town of Camden. Unfortunately, my career has brought me full circle back to Mobile.

Originally from Oxford...not England or even Mississippi...but Alabama! Went to school at the capstone. Moved to Fort Worth to go to seminary. Met my wife in Texas and moved here to San Antonio to be close to her family. Like it here, but hate not being close to the Tide!

BTW, she's an Aggie. Interesting in my house a couple of years ago! Publicly, I don't say much about her team. Privately, I hope for losing seasons until Fran leaves, then I will support them as a second favorite team.

I was born and raised near Athens Alabama. Been a Alabama fan as long as I can remember. I was not fortunate enough to go to Alabama but my oldest Son went there and my youngest Son wants to go also. Roll Tide!! :biga:

Storm Surge, Oldies 96.3 is a decent station that plays songs from the past. To tell you the truth after that its mostly pop and rap or country. They have a few christian radio stations that you might like if you are into any of that, but country and pop mostly rule the air ways here.

I just got back from Cool Springs about an hour ago. If you are into Italian food make sure next time you are here you visit Buca De Beppo. Its a little pricey but the food is fantastic. The servings are huge so either take a friend or get a small plate.

If you have any other questions please ask and I'll see what I can do.

I was born on the backseat of a greyhound bus
Rolling down Highway 41.

Oh, wait...that was somebody else.

Born in Jackson, MS
Moved in '89 to Charlotte, NC
Moved in '90 to Lumberton, NC (e-gad!)
Again in '90 to Bluefield, VA (some will do anything for a job)
Moved to South FL in '93

Not planning on going anywhere else anytime soon but you never know.

I became a 'Bama fan during Coach Bryant's years. My dad was mostly a fan of the three misses - Ole Southern State as they've been referred to, but always loved Bama football too. I sort of latched on to that. I just always admired the Bama teams for their toughness. They always found a way to get it done.

Born and raised in Lanett, AL. Attended Jacksonville State, finally getting my degree in '72. I suqeezed a 4-year education into 11.

bwdial, I was stationed for almost 2 years at MacDill in the late 60's. Wife and I loved Tampa. She worked at Geo. A. Levy Trophies on Kennedy Blvd.

We've been in Morgan City, LA for almost 26 years.

Born in Ft Mitchell, Alabama

Dad was in the Army at Ft. Benning at the time. After he retired we moved to his home in Woodstock, Ga. He took me to 2 Bama football games when I was 6 years old and I bless the day. Now live in the Florida panhandle.

RTR...

Gadsden, Al birthplace. Have lived in Columbia, S.C, Montgomery/Prattville, Al and now Trussville, Al for the last 22 years. We are getting ready to move maybe in the next year or sooner :) to one of my favorite places on God's green earth -- Tuscaloosa, Al. My daughter lives there and as her location on her posts shows she lives within the shadows of BD. That would suit me just fine. My heart is torn between wanting to live in T'town during my "golden years" ;) or make lots and lots of trips to Henderson, Texas to see our 2 precious little granddaughters - future Bama Cheerleaders.

I also was not fortunate enough to be able to attend UA, but I made sure my son and daughter did. In fact, she's almost a perennial student :). She's been there almost continually since '87 and is back in school. And btw, she is an excellent student but she always finds another excuse to stay in school. As Martha Stewart would say "That is a good thing"! ;)

Raised and lived in Pelham, Alabama for 22 years. Now live about 10 minutes away from there in the Inverness area of Birmingham in Shelby County for the last 2 years.
