So, a little over half. I wonder how the various economies compare...
That next post of mine has a link to an excellent article with several graphs including the one you want. IIRC there are a bunch of countries ahead of us.....So, a little over half. I wonder how the various economies compare...
I honestly don't think we really know enough to even make a intelligent guess. Neither country's numbers can be trusted...Normally, dead x 3 = wounded, although there are various shades of wounded. Some are wounded, and RTD )Return to Duty) same day.
Some are wounded and spend a week in hospital, then RTD.
Some never return to duty.
Using the math above (which I cannot verify is still accurate, since this war is weird on a number of levels), I'd say ~80,000 Russian KIA, 230k wounded.
I would hope it is more, but I'd guess 80k-100k tops.
As Union troops discovered at Fredericksburg 161 years ago, attacking is painful only as long as you keep doing it. When you stop attacking, the pain lets up.
The early signs of "enough" are starting to make an appearance. From following the battle reports, I suspect it's far in excess of 100K, but far short of 500K...
True.I honestly don't think we really know enough to even make a intelligent guess. Neither country's numbers can be trusted...

CNN: Gas, drones and convict recruits: Ukrainian soldiers describe Russia’s deadly surge on the frontlinesThe alleged use of chemical agents on the battlefield marks another sign of the brutality and mendacity of Russia’s renewed fight for the terrain it lost. Ukraine had hoped for greater advances during the summer toward the Azov Sea, yet now must defend its minor gains.
“Colossal changes are taking place,” said the commander, Ihor. “[The Russians] started making their own attack drones and outnumber ours. But they use them badly, like a kid’s toy.”
The sheer number of Russians now at the front is disconcerting, multiple Ukrainian soldiers said. “Usually, more meat means more mince,” Ihor said, a reference to Russian generals throwing their forces into the “meatgrinder” of the front line without concern for their losses. “But sometimes the machine gets it right. And they have success.”
Bakhmut under Russian occupation now. Two years ago, this was a well-to-do city of 70,000, a Ukrainian regional center. We reporters remember it very well for Hotel Atlantic we all used to stay at. Many also loved a very good sushi bar called Izumi at Bakhmut's central square. It was a city of coffee shops, soccer stadiums, flower beds, fountains, and a famous local sparkling wine brand. Now see what Russia has turned it into. It's now a giant grave that will never see any life again. And Bakhmut is now among dozens of towns ruined by Putin's Russia -- which is terminally obsessed with a cult of death, war, senseless territorial grabs, and destruction. We ask that the world puts aside all irrelevant deliberations and petty politics and gives Ukraine tools to repel and deter the worst European war of destruction since Adolf Hitler.
In the American Civil War, a Union soldier captured a bedraggled scrawny Confederate soldier. "I got you!" the Union soldier exclaimed.
