AFAIK there is no official word on that. James at DirecTV was unable to tell me and seemed to think I would have to "wait by month end" to get it. Nothing on web page that I have found yet.

What DirecTV package will have the SEC Network?

This is what I would like to know. I haven't seen it posted anywhere yet. I would assume most of the packages would have it. I think that's how it is for the other TV providers.

It will be available to DirecTV customers who purchase the "Choice" (150+ channels) and higher packages.

Yesterday, BJ Millican tweeted about Charter not having the SEC Network yet. This morning, I tried to verify that it did. I got this:

Last week, al.com and others reported Charter and the SEC Network were finalizing a deal. That's why several thought Charter was on board. Link

I'm sure they're quibbling over which package to include it in. I'm certain it will be included in their sports package, which is a step up from the expanded basic that gives you ESPN, ESPN2, NBCSports, and the MLB Network.

On Directv, I wish they would put the SEC Network in the 206-220 channels so it would be right there with the other sports channels.

Wish it could be one of the ESPN 209-1 or 209-2 channels.
