Tenn will wear Orange...you just wait and see

This could be Bama's toughest opponent so far.
The Vols are going to be ready to play ball. The Vols being presented with ORANGE jerseys after warm-ups in the locker room will psych them up even more and they are already going to be psyched-up because they are playing the #1 Crimson Tide and their most hated rival and they have a lot to prove to the football nation. This will show the Vol players that the coaches have confidence in them even with two 15 yard penalties. Will the Vols off week help them? This could be a season saver for the Vols.
Will Bama be ready? I hope so. Are we beat down from prior games? Will Arenas be able to play? Can we pass without Berry intercepting? Will we be able to run the ball? I'm hoping that Ingram and Richardson both have career days. Well, I'll throw McElroy into that hope also. I hope he has a career day. Hoping is NOT going to get it done. It will take EXECUTION on each and every play by Bama. And we need to EXECUTE several Vol players.
You know being psyched-up only counts for so many plays (only a few I think). It's going to take a few bloody noses in this battle to get rid of the psyched-up mentality.
I think the big thing going for Bama is strength in numbers. This will help overcome adversity in the 4th Quarter, I hope!

other than UGA changing after warm ups has it ever been done? Why is everyone discussing this like it happens all the time? I don't live close to the situation in Bama or Tennessee so I am not trying to be a smart *** but are there any rumblings that this is a bigger issue than UT asking for and being denied permission to wear orange.
Most UT fans are only mad about it because we said no and none of the BAMA fans I know care. I doubt there are that many fans on either side that actually remember the crimson and orange jerseys for this game.
You know Kiffin will pull some kind of stunt. I think I'm leaning to the "orange pants" angle... no penalty and has probably the same effect on his team (temporarily all fired up), plus UT feels like they "pulled one over" on Bama.
In the end, little effect in any case... either our boys are ready to kick their butts, or they're not. I think they are ready.

Frankly, I couldn't care less what they wear.
I am so fired up for this game. In fact, it's been tough for me to post much this week for fear of getting banned for the language I WANT to use. I sincerely hope there aren't any impressionable children sitting near me.
So to me, it doesn't matter what jersey they wear. I want them to be beaten until Kiffin leaves the field in absolute shame and defeat. I would only be happy if they try to sneak out of the locker room and onto their buses at halftime.

I would call it a great move. Similar to Richt's endzone celebration a few years back. They aren't expected to win...if wearing Orange would get a a team to play above their abilities. I would take the penalty.
The 15-yard penalty is assessed after the kick return because, technically, they wouldn't have played with the wrong color jerseys until after the kick-off. For example, if Bama returns the kick-off back to the 30, after the penalty, Bama would have first and ten from the 45. If UT returned the kick-off to the 30, after the penalty, they would have first and ten from the 15. At least that's the way I understand it. Correct me if I'm wrong. :BigA:
You are correct. An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty can't be called until an unsportsmanlike act has occurred. In this case, that is playing in an illegal jersey. I believe a similar penalty would be enforced on a team that has a player switch jersey numbers to fool the opponent, or on a team that had two players wearing the same number on the same play.

Let'em we will take 30 yds in free penalties any game...... I don't think loudmouth is going to pull that stunt he saw what the black out did for UGA and honestly I think it would fire our boys up even more if they did it so gooooooo for it loudmouth and then lets play some football~!~
