That dude looks like someone from "The Capitol" vis a vis The Hunger Games.
You're SO close. It's a TV show. They trot people out from "central casting" as I've heard someone mention. You'll notice how people "look" is more important than what they say. Feelings are being manipulated. I wonder why dry, erudite black people are never shown on TV? I wonder...

Deranged Elie Mystal explains SCOTUS nationwide injunction ruling by describing how Trump could hatch a plot to m*rder people.

“Imagine Donald Trump wants to m*rder you…"

Totally sane, normal stuff going on over there at MSNBC.

Totally sane.

Totally normal.

Why do people keep giving interviews to this idiot?
Well, he's raped and stolen and got away with it. I'd think murder would be excusable.

Interesting point. This sort of exploitation is nothing new, of course. Personally I would find it insulting, but hey, it's a chance to be on TV!! It certainly explains why Jasmine Crockett went from speaking in a calm and eloquent fashion, carefully choosing her words and remaining respectful to her interviewer to some ghetto trash queen who curses a lot and uses over-the-top accents. It's all an act, but an effective one (I think.)

I'm dying for someone to organize a cage match between Jasmine and MTG. I wonder which one would pull "The Windmill" move first.

I'll give Elie Mystal his due: he's very symmetrical. Looks like a clown. Says clown things. He's a few nuggets short of a happy meal, but that's why he's a mainstay on MSNBC.

From what I have read, the Government servers were so compromised that Colin Powell told her to do what he did: "use your own". Such a tempest in a teapot. People are idiots.
I was wondering how long before we got "but Colin Powell did the same thing" as yet another excuse.

You're not wrong that people are idiots. But they were idiots long before the 2016 campaign, too.

yeah, i don’t think the honorable mr. edwards’ thoughts on the matter apply to the american conservative movement anymore
Side track, I know.

But one observation I read on "The Site Formerly Known As Twitter" yesterday was the fact that Jimmy Swaggart would probably survive his scandal with a $10 hooker today - because everyone would be glad he was sexing it up with a consenting FEMALE adult and not a child of either sex/gender/whatever.

Democrats told to "get shot" for the anti-Trump resistance

At town halls in their districts and in one-on-one meetings with constituents and activists, Democratic members of Congress are facing a growing thrum of demands to break the rules, fight dirty — and not be afraid to get hurt.

Why it matters: House Democrats told Axios they see a growing anger among their base that has, in some cases, morphed into a disregard for American institutions, political traditions and even the rule of law.
Well imagine THAT! I guess setting cars on fire and pelting ICE agents with rocks doesn't have the same impact when being done by the rank-and-file. Now they want their elected leaders to do this, too? I know these people are nuts, but they can't be this unserious.....can they?

Whataboutism is okay - but only if it's (D)ifferent.

House Democrats told Axios they see a growing anger among their base that has, in some cases, morphed into a disregard for American institutions, political traditions and even the rule of law.

Gee, you mean a group of elected people who said we should expand the Supreme Court (but only because they don't like the decisions) and abolish the filibuster (but they're not keen on it now).....those same people have a "disregard for American institutions" and "the rule of law"?

Also - "requesting anonymity".....you mean the exact same people saying "Republicans anonymously complain about Trump" are (wait for it) complaining "anonymously"?

Look, the Trump Party (let's call it what it is) is a criminal enterprising joke. The fact we have people with Ivy League shingles on the wall and high GPAs who can't figure out a coherent response should serve as a check on their personal arrogance - but it won't.

Voters always want their reps to stick their heads in the lion's mouth. The ones that do generally lose their heads AND their Congressional seats.

I have a cousin who is as dyed-in-the-wool Dem as it gets. We rarely talk politics for obvious reasons, but recently she temporarily broke that unspoken rule. (The fact that we were both about 8 beers deep probably had something to do with that.) Anyway, just out of nowhere and with no obvious trigger (that I could see) she exclaimed, "Trump is a stupid man. He is just a stupid, stupid little man!"

The only response I could muster went like this, "Yep, but who is more stupid: the stupid little man or the stupid people who keep losing to him?" The anger flashed in her eyes ever so briefly and just like that, we were off on another subject (thankfully.) Even an exasperated Van Jones finally threw in the towel not long ago and admitted on air that Trump was out-smarting them all.

If that isn't a plea for a different approach, I don't know what is.

The quarterback of the football team gets all the dates and often winds up class President, even if he's taken too many hits to the head.

The nerd who everyone copies off their math homework is probably going to be head of his own company someday, but he never gets elected class President.

I'm not sure why this one is so hard to understand.

(Had Kamala Harris looked like Stacey Abrams, she never would have been the nominee, either. Just like if Trump looked like Newman from "Seinfeld," he wouldn't have won a single primary).

Adam Carolla earned a tremendous amount of ire when he posed the following question on his podcast, "If AOC was fat and sixty years old, would ANYONE care about anything she said?" We all know the answer, but this sort of thing can only be said by people who can't be canceled.
