Both were in Oxford this weekend for the Ole Miss v. Texas A&M game.
Pettway is currently playing JUCO ball in Mississippi at Scooba Tech. The judge in his criminal case has (presumably) granted him youthful offender status, so as long as his academics are in order, he has a really strong change of playing football next season for a BCS program somewhere. Odds are decent he ends up in the SEC, in fact.
Williams is a much trickier deal. He's not playing football anywhere, and his youthful offender application was denied by the judge two weeks ago, so he's going to face felony charges over two separate incidents as an adult. There's a decent chance that he could do some prison time (perhaps a year or so). Still, though, obviously Ole Miss is interested enough to have him visiting on the sideline, so the implication is clear that they think he is possibly a viable option for them at some point.
Not sure if these guys will end up in Oxford, but it's a possibility. Will say this much: Ole Miss has previously taken felons kicked out of other SEC schools who have arguably done far worse than what these two were / are accused of doing.
