Trump's Policies XII

Pretty easy actually, there are all the billionaires and ultra-millionaires, all the rednecks, alt-rights who seethe with anger anything to do with government, and the self-righteous evangelicals...

What the polls dont ask is who is going to vote and who is not going to vote among the approve and disapprove cohort? A vote not cast is a no vote which further tilts the % of approve and disapprove.

And the ones who when asked give you a story about Trump that is far from objective reality. I still run into people all the time who simply don't have a clue. In their minds the budget is balanced, we've won all the wars, the world loves us, and we don't need to pay taxes anymore since other countries are paying those huge tariffs for us.

How in the world can more than a third of American adults approve of this clown?

Had nothing to do with Trump.

More to do with the incompetence they witnessed over the previous 4 years.

Add to it the botched campaign by the Democrats....and they end up losing all the swing states.

It's never been about Trump. But the sheer stupidity & incompetence from the Democrats.......

No, it is not even that.

Both parties have about a 30% base that will never switch sides, no matter what happens. This is almost all that is left supporting Trump at this point.

I watched a quite knowledgeable financial person yesterday discuss global financial flows of large retirement funds and country funds moving away away from US government bond offerings. Her conclusion was that the US will be forced to cut defense expenditures and pull back from military bases spread around the globe. She did not feel that commitments to Social Security and retirement fund would be on the chopping block but I am not so sanguin about that.

The one thing that is inescapable however is that an empire that cannot fund even the interest on its debt is doomed to decline in its power over time. How quickly that comes is a matter of debate.

Those individuals having a unrealistic view of our economic and political situation will likely be the ones who suffer the most.

This seems a pretty convenient way to blame Biden and his party for all the stupidity and ego-driven incompetence demonstrated by Trump. If people recognize the terrible and destructive job Trump is doing yet express approval for those policies because of disdain for Democrats, then the word “approval” has taken on a different meaning.

You asked this question: How in the world can more than a third of American adults approve of this clown?

And I gave you the answer.

Because for most voters......because of Biden and his party.......he was the better choice.

Emphasis on "choice'.
That was in November of 2024. I was asking the question regarding those who somehow approve of Trump in April of 2026. This has nothing to do with Biden or the last election.

it's the same answer as to why Biden had anyone approving of him. There is a percentage of people that are so tribalistic that they have to stay loyal to their side no matter what. I look forward to the day the Republicans have a presidential candidate besides Trump. I also look forward to the day the Democrats nominate a competent person because they haven't done so in ten years. I can't stand Hillary Clinton, but she wasn't a dementia patient or a babbling idiot that spewed word salads.

OK - thanks - I see what you're saying now.

But disagree with saying it has nothing to do with Biden.

He set the country back so far - - - of course whomever came in afterward is going to be a bit unpopular with some of the hard decisions made.,

As far as I'm concerned Trump has done an amazing job so far, all things considered.

Now come November the Dems will win back the house and Trump's last 2 years are going to be spent defending himself against all the impeachment inquiries. I guess his detractors can look forward to that.

Ultimately it just means 2 years our ability to advance as a country is hampered. But this is the Democratic Party for ya.....TDS on steroids!!! :D

Excellent news. Hope this can help some of the veterans and trauma victims. It's been documented that psychedelics can be beneficial for people suffering from clinical depression and anxiety disorders.

Podcaster Joe Rogan joined President Trump and others in the Oval Office on Saturday as he signed an executive order accelerating research for certain psychedelic drugs used to treat mental health disorders.

Rogan made him aware of solution to a known problem.

DJT sees this and acts on it.

As Adam Carolla often points out, there are process people who will have meeting after meeting to approve a study to be looked into at a later meeting.

Vs builders.

There's a number of people on this board that could benefit from some of these psychedelics.

As of early 2025, Elizabeth Warren's net worth is estimated to be between $7 million and $12 million. Her wealth is primarily derived from her long career as a Harvard law professor, significant book royalties, and real estate, rather than inherited wealth or stock market investments. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Key 2025 Financial Details
  • Net Worth Range: While some unsubstantiated claims have suggested higher figures, credible sources like TheStreet and financial disclosures place her net worth in the $8–$12 million range.
  • Income Sources: Her income includes a U.S. Senate salary (approximately $\$174,000$) and ongoing royalties from her numerous books.
  • Assets: Her assets include substantial retirement accounts (TIAA/CREF) from her academic career and real estate, including a home in Cambridge, MA.
  • Exaggerated Claims: Reports claiming a net worth of $\$67$ million or higher have been largely debunked as inaccurate, according to Wisconsin Watch. [1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8]

Warren has been a proponent of a "wealth tax" on fortunes exceeding $\$50$ million, a policy that would not apply to her own estimated net worth.
