This! I'm enjoying the fact ESPN taking heads are off the Oregon bandwagon until next September. It has become an annual tradition.Me either.

Agree completely...I think some of our players felt that way going into the Sugar Bowl against Utah. It's understandable, but the coaches better get their minds right.
Well, they should have handled business."Oregon may be headed to a fifth straight BCS bowl game, but it's not the game the Ducks had in mind when the season started.
And two high-profile players weren't shy this week about expressing their disappointment.
"I don't want to play in a Rose Bowl unless I'm playing for a national championship," wide receiver Josh Huff told reporters Monday."
""It's not a big deal at all," Thomas told reporters. "We already won a Rose Bowl, so it feels like, 'Whatever.'"

To be fair, Alabama had not won a national championship in 16 years when they lost to FL in 2008. Those players wanted nothing to do with the Sugar Bowl that year. What had those players done in their college careers to warrant that attitude? Championships won by Alabama before these players were out of diapers really don't count.I find it odd that a program that has never won a national championship thinks they're above anything less than a title game. I could see, you know, a program with some history getting upset, but Oregon? This is like Arkansas complaining about the Sugar Bowl - except Arkansas has won national titles and has 5 times as many All Americans.
If you could stop putting things in perspective, that'd be great. :biggrin2:To be fair, Alabama had not won a national championship in 16 years when they lost to FL in 2008. I don't think anyone is okay with our team's attitude going into that Sugar Bowl game. I think, while a lot of us were disappointed not to be playing for the title, we were still excited about going to the Sugar Bowl.To be fair, Alabama had not won a national championship in 16 years when they lost to FL in 2008. Yes especially in CNS 2nd year!I don't think anyone is okay with our team's attitude going into that Sugar Bowl game. I think, while a lot of us were disappointed not to be playing for the title, we were still excited about going to the Sugar Bowl.
Bama's effort in that bowl game was disappointing, it reminded me of Ohio State's effort in any bowl game against an SEC team.To be fair, Alabama had not won a national championship in 16 years when they lost to FL in 2008. Yeah, all or nothing for them. The Nike money flows through Bama as well. Maybe not as much, but it still flows.Where is the Ducky that knew everything about everything?
BTW I'm sure no one checked on how much the Roae Bowl pays out, but I guess with Nike money those millions mean nothing.

Ouch!Bama's effort in that bowl game was disappointing, it reminded me of Ohio State's effort in any bowl game against an SEC team.
I think there is huge difference. Alabama was one game away and had Tebow right where we wanted him, he just made plays. Oregon was like 6 games away and had not beat anyone all year.To be fair, Alabama had not won a national championship in 16 years when they lost to FL in 2008.
