48bpmJust wondering-- what is your resting HR?
mine is 64bpm. 48bpm seems like almost dead48bpm
That's a healthy heart rate and about what mine runs on any given day. Lots of cardio will do that.48bpm
My doc agrees - it's been as low as 39bpm consistently, but that was when I was averaging 9 miles rucking per day. Currently only averaging 6 miles/day, but this pace feels more sustainable for me physically at 52.That's a healthy heart rate and about what mine runs on any given day. Lots of cardio will do that.
I use a 30lbs plate, but I will be dropping that down to 20lbs in 2025 as it is causing me some neck pain.Question, not that I can do it, , but what weight do you carry when rucking?
It is in a ruck that distributes the weight well. I even have a waist belt.I remember my military days, carrying a 40lb ALICE pack, but the weight was distributed . I couldn’t imagine carrying 30 pounds in a single plate like that.
I do 25# daily as I've been limping around on a non-surgically repairable torn meniscus for about six years.Question, not that I can do it, , but what weight do you carry when rucking?
I carry 24. I have an extra vest that is 40+. I have not worn the 40+ vest yet.Question, not that I can do it, , but what weight do you carry when rucking?
Trying to get back to running 2000 miles. I have missed my target the last 2 years. I have torn the meniscus in both knees and was able to have them repaired without any issues. What is the reason they can't repair yours? So what are your health and fitness goals for 2025?
I'm doing my standard - 2,025 ruck miles in 2025. Might be tougher this year, I've had some wear and tear issues after rucking the last six years on a torn meniscus (>14k miles in that time). Hoping icing it will help, too young for TKR, but it gets tougher each year.
What say you? What are your goals to get better?
My orthopedic surgeon (sports medicine specialist) says this type of tear is not really surgically reparable. Apparently, most tears are around the edges, whereas my tear goes more or less straight into the middle, where there's no blood supply. You surely know more about this than me, but from talking to him only the outer third or so of the meniscus has blood supply, so stitches to the middle section are only there to hold things in place, but the meniscus won't actually heal.Trying to get back to running 2000 miles.
