I honestly have no 2nd favorite. I pull for Bama and everyone else is just everyone else. I'll always pull against *U but not because I have a liking for their opponent.

I have split loyalty. Originally from Tuscaloosa (but grew up in SC), I was raised a Bama fan. Due to family issues beyond my control I stayed home and attended USC instead of going to Bama as I had planned most of my life. As an alum obviously I'm a big Gamecock fan, but I still remain a big Bama fan as well and my brothers and I still attend the Bama-UT game every year.

This is my first post to this site and I don't consider myself a "stone thrower" or a "Troll". Simply interested in the most worthy opponents point of view.
I would say that Mississippi State is my second favorite team. Although we've beaten them for the last 18 years I still have a respect for what they do with what they have. It takes a lot to bring talented kids into Starkvegas and with Mullen they seem to be on the upswing.
I have a strong respect for Bama although I would not say they are in my top 5 SEC Fav's. Looking forward to the game in T-town this year! I think it will produce one of the National Championship teams. Definitely a College Game Day event.

I'm in total agreement with Alasippi.
My masters' degree is from the University of Houston. I would not go see them, the Cougars, play unless they were playing Alabama.
To me there is only one team that has my allegiance. So I pledge allegiance to Alabama and to the United States of America only.
There are other teams??? lol I am 110% BAMA but I guess I would have to say my 2nd favorite team would be Vanderbilt. Yes I pull for Vandy when they aren't playing the Tide. Poor Vanderbilt...next year's gonna be their year!!
No team is a close second, but WAAAAAAAY back there in Bama's dust, I admit to having a thing for Cajuns. So...LSU it is! :blush:
I really don't have a second favorite in football. However, I enjoy watching Kentucky basketball.

Alabama is the only one I get sick about. I can stay shook up over a game for too long for it to be anything else but love. L.S.U. is my 2nd S.E.C. team with Geogia 3rd. I also like Penn State, Oklahoma and Nebraska. I guess I'm old school.
My second favorite team has been Penn St. for a long time. In my mind, they are the Northern Alabama. Of course, the difference between how much I actually care about winning and losing between my first and second favorite teams is a very large span. I've felt good about Penn St. winning some games and championships here and there, but Bama's losses bring actual pain to my gut. I would really enjoy going to the game at Penn St. this year, so I hope all of you who get to go have a good time.
